Saturday Night Board Games
Saturday Night Board Games
**Saturday Night Board Games for 4-12 players (including me).** I have a dedicated gaming space in my home and can accommodate three tables of games being played at the same time. You are welcome to bring your own games to share and I own over 400 games (List here: [SynapticAcidGames](https://bit.ly/SynapticAcidGames)). *Please post in the event comments the game(s) you are interested in playing or planning to bring to share/play.* Doing so gives others an opportunity to choose what to play in advance (and learn how to play it if necessary). Attendees (players) should be sociable and respectful. I'll have a selection of light snacks and beverages available, but please feel free to bring snacks and/or drinks to share. Alcohol: If you're legally permitted, then you can, but keep it reasonable and light. There is no smoking or vaping on the property and if you have a pet allergy, please be advised that we have three dogs (two miniature poodles and a mini goldendoodle) in the home. Attendees should also be capable of walking down/up at least 15 stairs to enter/exit the game room. You may park along the street or in the driveway, but do not block access to the far-right garage. **Attendance/Late/No-Show Policies:** * You must be registered in order to attend this event; walk-ins are not allowed. * The event start time is specific (not flexible) and you should plan to arrive at that time in order to be respectful of others. A 15 minute grace period for traffic or delays is generally afforded. * If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late be prepared that you may not be able to play until a game concludes and a new one starts (if there's time). In general, attendees should not be late. * If you are a no-show for an event (and you fail to timely communicate that you won't be attending), then you will be waitlisted at future events and allowed to attend only if space is still available after accommodating all others. * Most attendees stay for the duration of the event, but it is not required. **If you have any questions, please message me directly.**

Quads & Doubles Volleyball - Competitive intermediate/A
Let's get together to play some competitive quads and doubles volleyball. **COST**: FREE **Court Type**: Outdoor grass **Minimum Skill Requirements**: Intermediate (click [here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PojSi4qdlRsv1msCHhvpQ43iDc4FfzQwpWCc3kafVMY/mobilebasic) for details) Attention: 1. This event is **NOT on a first come-first serve** basis and players with higher skill level and players who can bring a net/ball will get priority over others on the wait list. 2. Sunday Skate Rock Creek Park!
Sunday Skate Rock Creek Park!
**Ready for a beautiful Sunday morning skate through some of the best greenery DC has to offer?** This weekend, we are taking on a stunning route up through **Rock Creek Park** all the way to the DC/Maryland border! Whether you want to challenge yourself with the full mileage or you're just looking for a peaceful, paved escape from city traffic, this route has it all. Plus, **Big Mike** is stepping up to lead the pack! 🙌 Here is the game plan: ### ⏱️ The Schedule * **Meetup:** 10:00 AM @ **Pershing Park** (Located right at the corner of **14th St and Pennsylvania Ave NW**—we are meeting here since Freedom Plaza is still closed!) * **Rollout:** 10:10 AM sharp! ### 🗺️ The Route & Mileage * **Full Distance:** \~18.67 miles total (out-and-back). * **Route Map:** [https://onthegomap.com/s/peun02rk](https://onthegomap.com/s/peun02rk) * **Choose Your Own Adventure:** As always, if you want a shorter skate, you are welcome to turn around at any point along the trail, head back at your own pace, or wait for the crew to loop back down! ### 📍 How It Works 1. **The Launch:** We’ll drop in at Pershing Park and head right up **Pennsylvania Avenue** to catch the entrance to the trail. 2. **The Climb:** From there, we jump onto the beautiful **Rock Creek Trail**, skating deep into the park alongside the water. 3. **The Stretch:** We’ll transition onto **Beach Drive** for an incredible stretch almost all the way up to the DC/Maryland boundary. Best of all, **Beach Drive is completely closed to automobiles on Sundays**, so we'll have wide-open pavement to cruise! 🚙❌ 4. **The Finish:** After hitting the turnaround point, we’ll enjoy a smooth, familiar roll all the way back down to finish up right where we started at Pershing Park. ### 🎒 What to Bring * **Protective Gear:** Helmets are highly recommended, plus wrist guards and pads. * **Hydration:** It's an 18+ mile journey—make sure to bring plenty of water and maybe a quick snack for the turnaround point! * **Good Vibes:** Let's make it a fantastic Sunday morning session. RSVP so we know who to look out for, and we’ll see you at the corner of 14th & Penn at 10:00 AM! 🛑🛼🚀 For up to the minute details, check Facebook and Instagram.
