Chronic illness coloring hangout!
Come to Arlington Central Library to meet some chronically ill friends! Members suffer from conditions including ME/CFS, long covid, multiple sclerosis, ulcerative colitis, autoimmune kidney disease, POTS, psoriatic arthritis, Ehlers Danlos, genetic heart conditions, and more.
We'll be doing some relaxed coloring book activities. Materials are provided, but if you have any other crafts or supplies you want to bring feel free :) If you don't feel like coloring we'd still love if you just hung out.

Game Day
*Important Notice. Do not enter through the front door. There is a gate to the right of the garage that leads to the basement door.
With the precious new additionn to the family if you are sick or think you may have been exposed to covid, flu, or another illness please stay home.
This group is not for people who like games like monopoly. It is for experienced Euro style board gamers only. We play games like Terraforming Mars, Ark Nova, Obsession, Tapestry, Eclipse, Spirit Island and more with the average game around 2-4 hrs. This event is held at someone’s house in Alexandria. There is also 2 friendly dogs in the house. Below are some important logistical details.
Arrive on time- will typically wait about 15 minutes for people to arrive and begin playing. If you come much later than that games will be in progress and there is a high probability you won't be able to play a game. Light snacks and water or sodas will be available but feel free to bring something to share. Looking forward to meeting more gamers and playing some great games with you.
Yoga en Español
A basic yoga class for those interested in experiencing yoga in Spanish. This pioneering yoga class offered in Spanish is ideal for clients who would like to improve their overall health and wellness simply by synchronizing the breath and physical movement accompanied by smooth rhythms of Latin music. Come learn or practice your Spanish in this beginner friendly class.

This class focuses on incremental movement accompanying rhythmic breathing while offering hands-on assistance to the student.

We’ll plan to walk for about an hour around the lake on a flat gravel trail.

Capoeira
Capoeira (capo-way-ra) is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that is unlike any other martial art. Capoeira incorporates flowing movements with kicks, dodges, and some acrobatics. It is often mistaken for a dance for those reasons. Since it’s origins in the 17th century, it has evolved from a secret fighting practice into an art emphasizing self-expression and community celebration. It is great for the body and mind! In addition to gaining strength and flexibility in class, students learn about Brazilian culture, history, and language (Portuguese). On November 26, 2014 capoeira was granted a special protected status as "intangible cultural heritage” by UNESCO.
No need to have a Capoeira background to join this class, just an open mind to try out a new way to move! Beginners welcome.

1. This will be an hour long beginners flow yoga class. You are welcome to join if you are experienced or absolute beginner, just being interested is enough. Yoga is for everyone!
2. Through this meetup we will learn some yoga poses, breathing techniques, stretch our body, build strength. More importantly, we will try to learn about our body and find inner peace.
Please:
1. don't get too full before practice but you can always bring snacks.
2. Please be on time, class will start on time.

Making care packages for unhoused folks
We're collaborating with Westerville Queer Collective to gather supplies and pack care packages. Head over to their event page to [register](https://www.meetup.com/meetup-group-wroejsfn/events/312453970/) officially.
We’ll be assembling care packages with food, warm weather supplies, recreational items like books, and resource guides for local unhoused folks. Packages will then be delivered to HEER2SERVE, local nonprofit that has weekly “serves”, when they go out into local encampment areas and deliver needed items and food. Our care packages will be a part of that.
WQC will supply containers and food items for the care packages. So this time we are primarily focusing on gathering donations for keeping warm, including up to 50 of the following items:
Clean or new socks, hats, scarves and gloves
Handwarmers
Sanitizing wipes
Lighters
You are welcome to contribute items or just come and help pack. Leave a comment if you are bringing donations. We can also accept money donations through WQC.
