Ready for some bouldering fun? Boulder-what? 🤔 It’s climbing (FR: escalade, le bloc) up to 4.5m high without ropes—and in my case, without much hope! 😂✨ It’s a super fun indoor activity, but be warned: it does require a certain level of physical fitness and/or skill. Most importantly, though, it requires awesome company—which we’ve got! 😎



 The Idea: 📍 Meeting Point: For those arriving at 17:00, we’ll meet at the cafeteria (next to the billiards table). Feel free to start earlier or later—just drop me a message or write in the group chat so we can meet up. 💪 Stay & climb as long as you want - venue closes at midnight! 🥤 Recharge: If you’ve had enough climbing for the day (we usually do this after 2 hours of climbing), we may head back to the cafeteria (or to the rooftop if it's sunny🌤️) for snacks, drinks & games. Lake Needwood–Gude–Blue Heron Loop in Rock Creek Regional Park. • Distance: 3.6 miles • Difficulty: Easy, with a gentle climb of 337 ft • Time: 1.5–2 hours at a leisurely pace • Scenery: Beautiful lake views, wetlands, and lots of birds (herons, ducks, geese) • Ideal if you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic, and not too tiring experience • Wide, well-marked trails — perfect for chatting Don’t forget to pack your essentials (water, snacks, and tissues are a good idea). If you’re bringing your dog, please let us know in the comments, just in case anyone has allergies. We’ll all meet at the parking lot near the boat house.

There is also a free outdoor concert that is happening at the Pavilion that will provide some 80s themed live music to add to the summer vibes. Hello everyone! Come join us for a hike around Sugarloaf Mountain. We will meet in the East View parking lot by the picnic benches by 9:00am. Please allow yourself extra time (10 - 15 min) for parking, as it is crowded on the weekends. Then, we will go on the White Trail until it intersects with the Blue Trail, hop on the Blue Trail until we reach the West View parking lot, and then go on the Green Trail until we reach the summit. We will take a break at the top, enjoy the views, and then head back down the Orange Trail, until we reach our starting point at the East View parking lot. Please see the linked map below.
