• What we'll do This meet up is for those who are learning English as a second language and want a chance to practice. We will provide a fun and interesting activity to encourage simple English conversation. It may be a game, an interesting topic, or whatever. We promise to keep the evening relaxed and give you a chance to practice your English. • What to bring Just you. • Important to know We are hosted by Do Slova Praha. As a church, we want to help our community in practical ways. We may hand out information to other events that our church does, but do not worry... this is not a religious event. Support Group for Failed Meditators & Other Spiritual Misfits
Support Group for Failed Meditators & Other Spiritual Misfits
You went on that retreat, read the book, committed to meditate daily. And here you are at 3 am, drunkenly staring down a Žižkov doner, wondering what went wrong. You are not alone! Come share your spiritual misadventures. Its a space where you can bring a poem, story, koan etc. Or just come and hang out. All paths and experiences are welcome. We are meeting at Stromovka Park, near Rudolfův rybník (pin in the description). Bring something to sit on, pets are also welcome! We’ll start with an opening circle, short group meditation and then move into sharing and discussion. If you arrive late and we are already meditating please join us quietly so you don't disturb others.

Hotpot dinner in June - not for beginners
Hotpot dinner in June - not for beginners
Yes, it’s June, yes, we are eating hot soup. No, we don’t care if we sweat. Here’s the plan: * round table * plenty of ingredients * a boiling pot * trying to catch whatever just fell into the broth * No icebreakers, just a chat, no pressure, no homework. Join if you love hotpot or curious about the ritual. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
Let's dine Persian!
Let's dine Persian!
Hello Prague Discoverers and Foodies! After trying Turkish on the last dining meetup, let’s move one country further to the east and try Persian food! An AI overview says that "Persian cuisine is characterized by a balance of delicate flavors, often pairing aromatic herbs, fruits, and nuts with rice and meats. It is rarely hot-spicy, relying instead on saffron, dried limes, turmeric, and cinnamon for a subtle, complex taste. Key elements include slow-cooked stews (khoresh), seasoned rice (polo), and grilled kebabs." It sounds pretty appetizing, doesn't it? The restaurant is located near the "Národní třída" metro B station. WHEN: Thursday 4th June, 7 pm onwards WHERE: [Persia Restaurant](https://maps.app.goo.gl/Fyr3EbVWaMFGpfAx5) ADDRESS: Spálená 107/49, 110 00 Nové Město MENU (in pdf): [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Gx74A7jZX0ulkf5Dx4JSD-PHyHSqpbqU/view](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Gx74A7jZX0ulkf5Dx4JSD-PHyHSqpbqU/view) PRICE: There is no organization fee, just pay your bill after the dinner directly to the restaurant. \*\*\*\*\*\* Please honor your RSVP. Acoustic Session – The Warrior
Acoustic Session – The Warrior
Haunting shadows at my heels, Nightmares followed by the lies, Peace as distant as the sunrise, Waiting still in silence... like a warrior. Closed eyes will never open, Facing the fools, oh, they belong to the night. I will not be broken by you, Just a warrior like my God, like my God. I confide in You, I am so afraid that I will be left alone, But I will fight like a warrior, like my God. Drowning me, a cruel smile is here to stay, Thinking 'bout what has to be, forget the life, Feels like a warrior... something like my God. Feel unknown, I remain, Following through the ages and my pieces, I have been denied, left forsaken, Punished by the design, my ordinary dream. I confide in You still, though my spirit is down, But I will fight like a warrior, like my God. Erase me, I will not surrender, But I will fight like a warrior, like my God. Years of memories, a fading story, Too many things that were deleted and lost. I stand in the ruins, with the weight, But I will fight like a warrior, something like my God, like, my God. ***© 2026 Comes The Rain Production™.***
