Free
**[Registration Required](https://wearevillage.org/shop/tin-embodied-practices/w16-2026)**
Drawing from Body-Mind Centering®, breathwork after Ilse Middendorf, Authentic Movement and Feldenkrais, the sessions combine guided movement, touch-based exploration, improvisation and reflection. Grounded in consent, autonomy and care, the practice supports embodied awareness, bodily autonomy and resilience within a supportive community.
A movement-based and self-development space dedicated to TIN\* bodies (Trans\*, Inter\*, Non-binary, including agender and genderqueer identities) and the lived experiences of people identifying outside traditional cisgender definitions.
This practice draws inspiration from the experiential anatomy of Body-Mind Centering®, the breathwork of Ilse Middendorf, Authentic Movement, Feldenkrais, and other somatic movement approaches. Touch, hands-on and partnered work, dance improvisation tools, and collective reflection are woven together into an integrated somatic movement framework grounded in consent, autonomy, and care. The intention of this space is to support the cultivation of confidence and resilience in our physicality as TIN\* people, nurture bodily autonomy, and develop touch literacy within a supportive and conscious community.
Each session begins with a guided somatic movement practice focused on developing anatomical tools for self-observation. We work with the five cardinal lines (arms, legs, spine), the four corners of the trunk (shoulders and hips), the three primary weights (head, chest, pelvis), and the two sides of the body. These principles support participants in orienting within their own physical architecture and cultivating embodied awareness. From this foundation, the practice expands into communal movement and shared spatial authorship, including time for integration and reflection. Movement is framed as relational, political, and spatial practice in its own right.
**General Information**
To engage fully in the experience, participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing.
**Participants:** This workshop is intended for people who identify outside traditional cisgender definitions: Trans\*, Inter\*, Non-binary, including agender and genderqueer identities.
**Registration:** This event has limited spots available. Registration via our website is required.
**Language:** This event will be in English.
**Cost:** The event is free of charge.
Monday Men – live circle
**Live men's circle**
**April to June 2026, twice a month**
After a long stretch without a space for regular, in-person circles, we're finally able to offer a **new, live men's circle in Berlin**.
Many of you have asked for this over the past couple of years — a chance to meet face to face, sit together and talk in real time.
The **Monday Men** circle offers a chance for that. From April through June we meet every two weeks, for two hours on a Monday evening. A closed group, with a maximum of eight participants, to encourage familiarity, trust and continuity.
All the dates are: **April 13** & **27**, **May 11** & **25**, **June 8** & **22**
There's a cost involved, which has been kept as low as possible, and it's only for the use of the room we'll have. A total **40 €** from each man covers all **six sessions** for all **three months**. You can attend as many sessions as you like.
After the first three months, the group can choose what comes next. There could be a summer break, or the group may decide to continue.
**This could be useful for you if you'd like to...**
* Connect in person with other men in Berlin
* Build real-life bonds, especially if you’re new to the city or to the Berlin Men’s Group
* Explore ideas and challenges that matter to you
* Look more closely at your experiences and how you express them
* Experience a low-pressure introduction to men’s work
**What we'll do...**
For those who already know the online men’s circles, some parts of this format may feel familiar.
As in the online format, the sessions always include:
* **Welcome** – greeting and orientation from the host
* **Opening round** – describing briefly what things are like for you
* **Sharing round** – expanding on your thoughts, speaking freely
* **Deepening round** – a chance to offer each other questions
* **Open discussion** – explore what emerges together
* **Closing round** – share what you take away from the session
In addition, the live format allows for a few extra elements:
* **Partnered conversation**
* **A topic of the week**, chosen by the group
* **A little movement**, such as stretching or short breaks to move around and reset attention
As always - no prior experience neccessary, no preparation needed. Just walk in and grab a seat.
**About me, the host...**
I’m Hans. I've been co-organising the Berlin Men's Group with Peter and the others for five years now. In that time I've become a certified systemic counsellor, specialised in supporting men.
For these circles my style will be practical and down-to-earth. I help hold the structure, keep things on track, and support the group so that each man can explore what matters to him in his own way.
I'll be aiming for a space where men can speak honestly, listen to each other, and look at important things without it feeling heavy or complicated.
If you’re curious but not sure if this feels right for you at the moment, you’re welcome to send me a message here on Meetup or email request@zigmal.org. You can ask me anything you like.
*This group is being logistically supported by BMG partner project [Zigmal e.V.](www.zigmal.org), a volunteer association that focuses on strengthening men through social connection and free counselling.*

AIKIDO INTRO COURSE FOR LGBTQIA+-PEOPLE AND FRIENDS
## AIKIDO INTRO COURSE FOR LGBTQIA+ PEOPLE AND FRIENDS
Have you been curious about Aikido — and wanted to try it alongside other queer people? This four-hour course offers a first look at the fundamentals, with no prior experience required and no performance pressure. It’s designed for LGBTQIA+ people and their friends who want to try Aikido for the first time, or who have taken a few steps already and want to go deeper.
### WHAT THE COURSE COVERS
### Two training sessions of 90 minutes each.
We start with functional movement and breathing exercises. From there, we get familiar with the mat: a range of rolling movements to help you move safely and fluidly. Gradually, you develop a sense of space, balance, and your own body.
The basic steps of Aikido are introduced one at a time — Tai Sabaki, Tenkan, Irimi. The terms may sound unfamiliar, but the movements are natural. Everything you need, you’ll learn in the course.
In partner exercises, we explore simple Aikido techniques together. The focus is on understanding the underlying principles: How do I use movement instead of force? How do I stay connected to the person across from me?
### TEA BREAK
There’s time in between to catch your breath, rest, and talk with the instructors and other participants.
### SLOW PRACTICE MEANS FASTER LEARNING
This isn’t about collecting as many techniques as possible. It’s about really feeling and understanding the movements — with patience and attention.
### YOUR TEACHERS:
### Niklas Brochhagen (he/no pronouns) and Juliane Winkler
Juliane (she/her) and Niklas (he/no pronouns) are both queer and have practiced aikido for 20 years. They continue to find joy in the interplay of flexibility and steadfastness in aikido, which enables lively interaction and strengthens the feeling of connection within one’s own body.
Traumasensitive Meditation, 1 h – Denizen Coworking
**Meditation – One Hour of Presence (All levels) by STUDIO B (https://www.studio-bewusstseinserfahrungen.de/)**
This one-hour meditation session is suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners.
We begin with a short and gentle breathwork exercise to regulate the body, calm the nervous system, and bring attention inward. This prepares the transition into meditation.
This is followed by a 15–20 minute introduction to the meditation practice. During this phase, I explain the core principles of meditation and assign each participant a personal meditation task, tailored to their individual level of experience. The intention of this part is to create clarity, inner orientation, and a sense of safety for the silent practice.
We then enter a first phase of silent meditation.
After approximately 15–20 minutes, the silence is intentionally interrupted by a short walking meditation. This is not a break, but a conscious transition that integrates the body, releases restlessness, and deepens presence.
Afterwards, we return to silent meditation. Each participant practices independently with their personal instruction, within a calm and supportive space.
This session invites you to cultivate presence, quiet the mind, and either deepen an existing meditation practice or begin one in a grounded and accessible way.
**Open to all levels. No prior experience required.**
Payment is for the room.
\*\*\*
Session structure - **duration: 60 minutes**
**1\. Arrival & Breathwork \| 5–7 minutes**
Gentle, regulating breathwork to calm the nervous system and gather attention.
**2\. Introduction & Personal Meditation Task \| 15–20 minutes**
Introduction to the meditation practice.
Each participant receives a personal meditation task, adapted to their level of experience.
**Purpose of this first phase:** to create inner orientation, clarity, and a sense of safety for silent meditation.
**3\. Silent Meditation – Phase I \| 15–20 minutes**
Guided entry into silent meditation with individual practice.
**4\. Walking Meditation \| 5–8 minutes**
Mindful walking meditation as a conscious transition.
Integration of the body, release of restlessness, deepening of presence.
**5\. Silent Meditation – Phase II \| 10–15 minutes**
Return to silence.
Deepening the practice after movement.
**Optional: Short Closing \| 2–3 minutes**
Gentle return and integration.

Calm and Clear - Buddhist Meditation in English
Meet like-minded people, get authentic meditation instructions and hang out in our beautiful Buddhist meditation center in the west of Berlin!
The practice of meditation is a simple, yet profound practice that helps us to connect with ourselves and gives us tools to release experiences of distraction, agitation, and stress. In the Buddhist tradition, meditation is more than just a way to end the mind´s distraction - it is what helps us to bring our mind home to its true nature.
What better way to experience the colourful facets of meditation than with a group of like-minded people? Hence our open meditation sessions always have a social element as well - we like to have a tea and share about our meditation experiences, or whatever else we want to explore. There is also always the chance to ask questions to our experienced meditation instructors.
These sessions are held in English and open to everyone - complete beginners as well as those with more experience.
The sessions are every week on Friday at 17:00-18:30.

Seitai free group session
Come join us for a gentle yet powerful Seitai group practice — a space where silence, breath, and spontaneous movement meet. This is a donation-based event, so you’re free to contribute what feels right (from 0€ to (your choice)€).
✨ What is Seitai?
Seitai (整体) is a Japanese practice that helps you reconnect with your body’s innate intelligence. Through subtle awareness and guided techniques, you’ll be invited to:
Listen deeply to your body through Yuki (a meditative, hands-on practice of sensing and following the breath).
Release hidden tension with Katsugen — allowing involuntary, spontaneous movements to arise naturally.
Find balance in stillness and movement, letting your body recalibrate itself in surprising ways.
Seitai is not about control or forcing; it’s about giving voice to the movements your body has been waiting to express. Sometimes this brings ease, clarity, and lightness. Sometimes it stirs up dizziness, discomfort, or emotions. Every experience is valid — and you are always free to pause or leave at any time.
🌌 Why join?
Discover a practice that many find deeply transformative.
Create space for release, renewal, and vitality.
Explore in community, whether you’re a curious first-timer or already familiar with Seitai.
👕 Practical details
Wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel and water to stay hydrated.
Bring openness and curiosity.
Watchers are welcome — you can simply observe, or dive into active practice.
The session is guided, but the real teacher is your own body.

✨ Was ist Seitai?

Drunken
This month's prompt concerns the idea of the “warrior philosopher” (seemed appropriate in these times)--that is someone whose understanding of violence, power, and justice is forged through direct experience of war. We are looking at Major General Smedley D. Butler, a highly decorated U.S. Marine raised in a Quaker (pacifist) tradition who later became a prominent critic of American militarism (there is a wonderful biography of Gen. Butler called "Gangsters of Capitalism")
Butler's argument in *War Is a Racket* (1935): that many U.S. interventions were driven less by national defense than by corporate and financial interests, with Butler portraying himself as an enforcer for business and Wall Street. We can consider the moral ambiguity of his insider critique—whether complicity strengthens or undermines credibility and also consider some of the concrete reforms he proposed (e.g., “conscript” capital before soldiers, restrict the military to coastal defense, and have only those who fight decide on war).
Butler’s life arc clearly changed from pacifist upbringing to warrior to antiwar crusader—and asks whether true understanding of peace requires firsthand knowledge of war, and what that implies about the cost of suffering. So do we need to suffer to understand suffering? Do we have to experience war to appreciate peace? As one more question: in the movie "A Few Good Men" Jack Nicholson's character says that "you have the luxury of not knowing what I know" so do most of us go through life oblivious to real violence and suffering? See you at Drunken Philosophy!

We are excited to host Guided Meditations on Sundays at 6 pm in our Ashram/Gallery/Home! !! !!
Everyone wants to know what kind of God we worship and what kind of meditation we do. We worship the GOD that LOVES US! We understand that god is an energy and it lives in us as us. Our meditations guide others to actually experience that energy! xoxo We don't just talk about peace, love and affection, we experience it :)
Also we are a home not a business, so we enjoy building community one friend at a time. We always build in time for people to mingle & develop friendships! xoxo Much Love, Frank Tennyson
