La obra es el resultado de una serie de entrevistas, realizadas entre 2021 y 2023, en la que se entremezclan la memoria histórica y la personal en torno a lo ocurrido, una crónica que habla también de la resiliencia. Con un estilo meticuloso y descriptivo, Guerriero hace un retrato que no es complaciente. **Sobre la autora** Leila Guerriero es una escritora, periodista y editora argentina. Se inició en el periodismo en 1991, en la revista *Página/30*, del periódico *Página/12*. Desde entonces sus trabajos se han publicado en diversos medios de América Latina y España. En 2010 ganó la novena edición del premio de la Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano por el artículo «El rastro en los huesos». En 2014 recibió el Diploma al mérito en la categoría «Crónicas y Testimonios», otorgado por la Fundación Konex y en 2019 le otorgaron el XIV Premio de Periodismo Manuel Vázquez Montalbán.

Buenas! (English below) Cada día aparecen formas nuevas de aprender español, (y otros idiomas) apps nuevas, métodos de gramática, IA, videos de profes explicando cosas, y están todas genial. Si te ayudan a entender más y a hablar mejor están genial. El plan de este grupo es mejorar tu español con juegos, actividades reales y ejercicios para hablar más. Con la excusa de los juegos y las actividades corregimos la mayoría de errores: Palabras difíciles, confundir pasados, preposiciones, verbos que significan muchas cosas, ser y estar en pasado, frases con dos verbos o mas, subjuntivo, expresiones coloquiales, y también los errores "culturales”: ¿De que forma usamos los españoles el idioma en diferentes situaciones? La gente que participa es (casi siempre) muy simpática, y normalmente deja reviews muy positivas de las clases. Si te cuadra el plan ven a practicar tu español y hablamos de comida, de viajes, de trabajo, de cultura, de Internet, de temas locales, de noticias y de muchas más cosas. Dale Gnidovec, Curator of the Orton Hall Museum of Geology at The Ohio State University, will be presenting a program he has wanted to share with us for a long time: Plate Tectonics. His description of his program: Continents on the move - Nothing in Earth history makes sense without moving continents - it tells us why mountains, volcanoes, minerals, and fossils are where they are. This talk examines the evidence for continental drift, why it was disbelieved, and explains how the more-encompassing theory of plate tectonics was developed and eventually proven. Dale is an energetic, incredibly knowledgeable, and very entertaining speaker and this will be another wonderful program by Dale. Hope to see you there! Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid.
