If you'd like to join then sign up here and we can get an idea of numbers. There will be a few tables at the end of the room for any overflow of the table-top gamers. We'll be starting promptly at 6.15pm in the ball room (next to our normal spot in the cocktail bar). Please be there in good time with any refreshments and food orders ready. We might have time for more than one game, but the normal meetup will be happening next door if people would like a bit of both worlds. Looking forward to hopefully seeing some new faces! This event will be held in the Ballroom. Welcome to the world of board gaming, if you’ve been before you know the score! If it’s your first time, please remember to read the description and rules, we don’t have many but there are some. We are a group of people who like to play (or learn) modern board games. From the highly technical to the simplest of games, from the seasoned gamer to the first timer, all are welcome. We cater for nearly all modern games as per our rules. We would be delighted if you wanted to join us, please don't fret if there is a long waitlist, this tends to disappear a day or two before the event, sometimes even on the day, so keep an eye out. Come have a drink, meet like minded friendly people and let the battles commence. If you have a game you would like to play, please mention it in the comments and see if others would like to join you. You can join one of the other games mentioned there already or even request that someone brings a game that you would really like to play. If you do bring a game, it would be great if you could teach it, but someone else might know it. If you don’t know the rules to any of the games being played, don’t worry too much, there are some great teachers here and they’ll let you know the rules to any game they’re playing. It would be best if you could be here by the start time, but if you can’t you could always let people know and they might wait for you to arrive before playing. Otherwise, you might have to wait for people to finish playing before you can join in another game. If you are new, please look for the person in the hi-vis jacket, or ask for one of the hosts, Rocky, James or Michele, we will make sure you get into a game that suits you and your gaming level. Come and play board games! Join us for tabletop board and card games. Wednesday nights are aimed at those with more experience of modern boardgames - anyone who is completely new should try to come on Mondays. We always try to make sure that someone is happy to teach games and welcome new people on the night, so don't worry if you're not sure what to play or who to sit with. Please arrive by 18:50 in time for everyone to get into groups for the main games to start at 19:00. We will start arriving from 18:30 if anyone wants to join early for short games and chat. We’re hosting a games night at the Zombie Games Cafe in Cricklewood. We will be bringing a selection of games, but feel free to bring your own if you are happy to teach others how to play. The cafe also has a wide selection if you arrive early. We’ll try and have a balance of both short and long games on the go, so people can opt for whatever suits their experience/ interest level.

Join OverBoard to play the brilliant social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower in person at the brand new board game cafe Otter Chaos in Brixton. If you haven’t heard of Blood on the Clocktower before it is an evolution of classic party games like Mafia/Werewolf where a hidden evil team takes on the good team by lying and killing. The good team has a few tricks up their sleeve but will have to work together to deduce who the evil doers are in their midst. **This is a beginner friendly event so no experience with the game is necessary.** Please note that a gaming cover charge of \~£5 will be payable by each attendee to the venue so that we can make use of the space. We also encourage you to buy food and drink from the bar so we are supporting the business (I can highly recommend their pizzas!) **Please note BEFORE BOOKING** This meetup event allows you to book ONE 6 x 4 gaming table at Bad Moon Cafe Holloway Road, for yourself and your opponent(s). ’There is no charge at the time of booking, but each player will need to pay their £9 table charge on arrival at Bad Moon Cafe (this normally means a total of £18 per pair of players at a table).** **Important** \- though no payment is taken in advance\, LWG will be charged for no\-shows or those that do not cancel their booking more than 48 hours from the start time \(which is 6pm Wednesdays\)\. **Please let us know if you won’t be able to attend!** At this notice, games can be deferred but this is done via contacting your host to have you added manually to a future event. We playtest all sorts of games - strategic, silly, creative, or whatever. Some games are almost done. Some are very early ideas. We test anything that will fit into 90 minutes. You don't need to bring a game - we always love to have new playtesters! Please let us know in the comments when you plan to arrive/leave and whether you are bringing a game or not. This helps us to plan the day better. The schedule is: 10am onwards - gathering, chatting 11am sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 1') 12:30ish - break for food/chat 1pm sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 2') 2:30ish - break for food/chat 3pm sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 3') 4:30ish - finish up Often, we might hang around afterwards, to play some already-published games. We are strict on timings, so please try to arrive a few minutes before the session to limit disruption. You can just come for part of the day if you wish. The reason we have fixed timings for the 3 'slots' is to make it easier for folk to do so. Designers of all levels of experience are welcome! But if it's your first time, we ask that you don't bring a game and just spend some time learning how the group works. The group works based on reciprocation. If you expect to test your own game, make sure stay for long enough to play other games. As a general rule of thumb, you can expect to play one of your own games every third 90-minute session. So if you stay a whole day (3 sessions), you can expect to have one session to play your game(s). A good rule of thumb is that if you come all day, you will have one 90 minute session with two other playtesters in which to test your own games. It is sometimes possible to test games with more players. If your game requires 4 or more, please note that as standard you will be allocated half of a session (45 minutes). Pre-covid, we were getting unmanageable. As a result, we may have to limit attendees. This is a free-to-use venue, and we have to be mindful that other folk want to use the same space. **Is this event for you?** This is an event for both experienced and non-experienced gamers. It's a great opportunity if you want to get into the board gaming hobby and try a game or two with minimal rules. There will be experienced gamers on the night and so depending on attendees we may play slightly more complex games. If you are new to games/beginner, please let me know either by comments or DM so I can bring some suitable games. We will help you to learn and play a game on the night. We will be playing board games which range from light to medium in complexity and last about 15mins to 1.5 hours, depending on the game. It can take about 5-15min to teach, again depending on the game. I usually mention in the comments which game I am going to bring a few days in advance, in case you want to be familiar with the game(s). Other gamers may bring another selection of games, so be prepared to be surprised on the day. Attendee numbers are dependent on who can bring and/or teach games and so can vary week to week. ######## NEW LOCATION ####### We are going to be at The Forge on Bethel Rd this week and until further notice! The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area! Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the building that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.

Join us at Easton Town Center for a casual evening of board gaming. Play from our library or bring one of your favorites to share. We usually bring along Catan, Ticket to Ride, Cascadia, etc... We'll be set up at the Donatos Pizza Party Room. It was free for us to reserve, but you may want to buy a drink or go in on a pizza. Why Easton? Although there aren't any board game stores / cafes here, it's a nice area. More importantly, this event coincides with LifeTime Fitness Parent's Night Out, so our kid will get babysat. If you happen to be a member of Lifetime you too can get free babysitting and play some games.

This is a time where players of all ages, and skill levels can gather and enjoy a nice Sunday full of Chess!

Join us at the Pickerington Public Library for an afternoon board game party. This all ages event will meet in the front meeting room, with kids games and light/medium weight adult games for the grown ups. Come and make new friends while playing some favorites like Uno, Carcasonne, Catan, Ticket to Ride, or whatever your favorite games are! You can bring snacks to this room, and can check out games from the library's game collection.

CHANGED to WEDNESDAYS COLUMBUS RECREATION CENTERS require membership fee to play. Register & Pay at the desk when you arrive. $5 day pass is available. I have some extra pickle ball paddles and balls if you don’t have one. Definitely bring your own paddle if you have one and bring some balls if you have them.
