Welcome to *My Kind of Meeples*! Feel free to RSVP and join us for an evening of board gaming fun. Arrive from **6:30pm** for a relaxed chat and a chance to get to know everyone. If you’re new, please introduce yourself to one of the hosts — they’ll be happy to welcome you and help you settle in. At **7:00pm**, we’ll begin with our first game, selecting games for the night. Anyone who has brought games with them is invited to offer them up with a brief overview and an indication of the difficulty level. You’re free to join any game that interests you, and we’ll make sure everyone has something to play. If a game is new to you, it will always be taught beforehand, with a quick refresher for returning players if needed. We play a wide range of games, typically lasting between **1 and 3 hours**. Multiple games run at the same time, and there’s usually at least one beginner-friendly option as well as a more advanced game available each evening. The night usually runs until closing time (around **11:00pm**), and depending on the games you choose, you may even fit in more than one game. If you’re able, we kindly ask that you support the venue by purchasing from the bar, as the pub generously hosts us. We look forward to welcoming you to the group!

Welcome to the world of board gaming, if you’ve been before you know the score! If it’s your first time, please remember to read the description and rules, we don’t have many but there are some. We are a group of people who like to play (or learn) modern board games. From the highly technical to the simplest of games, from the seasoned gamer to the first timer, all are welcome. We cater for nearly all modern games as per our rules. We would be delighted if you wanted to join us, please don't fret if there is a long waitlist, this tends to disappear a day or two before the event, sometimes even on the day, so keep an eye out. Come have a drink, meet like minded friendly people and let the battles commence. If you have a game you would like to play, please mention it in the comments and see if others would like to join you. You can join one of the other games mentioned there already or even request that someone brings a game that you would really like to play. If you do bring a game, it would be great if you could teach it, but someone else might know it. If you don’t know the rules to any of the games being played, don’t worry too much, there are some great teachers here and they’ll let you know the rules to any game they’re playing. It would be best if you could be here by the start time, but if you can’t you could always let people know and they might wait for you to arrive before playing. Otherwise, you might have to wait for people to finish playing before you can join in another game. If you are new, please look for the person in the hi-vis jacket, or ask for one of the hosts, Rocky, Dori, Michele, Rafa or Rakshita and we will make sure you get into a game that suits you and your gaming level. Strategy Board Games at the The Coat and Badge, Putney. **Is this event for you?** If you have been to a few WLGC events, or are used to playing modern board games with a significant amount of rules, then this event is for you. If not, please join us at our "Beginner Friendly" event every other week. This is an event to play Strategy games which range from medium to heavy in complexity and last 2-4 hours, depending on the game. It can take about 15-30min to teach, again depending on the complexity of the game. I usually advertise which game I am going to bring a few days in advance, as it can be helpful to at least be familiar with the rules. Other gamers may bring another selection of games, so be prepared to be surprised on the day. Here are more details specifically about the Putney events: We’re a friendly, social group that regularly play a range of board games and card games. This event has been running since June 2022 and we have a core group of regular gamers but welcome new members who are looking for a games group to play on a regular or fairly regular basis. The event is free but please keep in mind that in order to have the space and run the event on a regular basis we need to purchase drinks/food from the venue. Also, please don’t sign up and not show up. Not only do you take up a spot for someone keen to play games but we have limited space that we need to reserve with the venue and no-shows jeopardise our relationship with the venue. Come hang out with us at Perkyns N15 for our Monthly Board Game Night - it's all about fun, games, and good vibes! Welcome to **Monthly Board Game Night at Perkyns N15**! Join us at **Perkyn's** for a fun-filled evening of board games with friends and fellow enthusiasts. **Perkyn's** is a neighbourhood Cafe and late night Bar, offering Craft Beer, Natural Wines and Hot Drinks! Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the world of board games, this event is perfect for everyone. Every month there will be classic games such as Dominoes, Chess, Blackgammon, Cribbage, UNO, plus modern classics like Catan, Ticket To Ride, Terraforming Mars, Wingspan, Azul, Codenames and more! Everyone is welcome, and you can also bring your favourite game from home. Tickets are free, but donation tickets are available, which will go towards costs and new games for future events.

We playtest all sorts of games - strategic, silly, creative, or whatever. Some games are almost done. Some are very early ideas. We test anything that will fit into 90 minutes. You don't need to bring a game - we always love to have new playtesters! Please let us know in the comments when you plan to arrive/leave and whether you are bringing a game or not. This helps us to plan the day better. The schedule is: 10am onwards - gathering, chatting 11am sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 1') 12:30ish - break for food/chat 1pm sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 2') 2:30ish - break for food/chat 3pm sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 3') 4:30ish - finish up Often, we might hang around afterwards, to play some already-published games. We are strict on timings, so please try to arrive a few minutes before the session to limit disruption. You can just come for part of the day if you wish. The reason we have fixed timings for the 3 'slots' is to make it easier for folk to do so. Designers of all levels of experience are welcome! But if it's your first time, we ask that you don't bring a game and just spend some time learning how the group works. The group works based on reciprocation. If you expect to test your own game, make sure stay for long enough to play other games. As a general rule of thumb, you can expect to play one of your own games every third 90-minute session. So if you stay a whole day (3 sessions), you can expect to have one session to play your game(s). A good rule of thumb is that if you come all day, you will have one 90 minute session with two other playtesters in which to test your own games. It is sometimes possible to test games with more players. If your game requires 4 or more, please note that as standard you will be allocated half of a session (45 minutes). Pre-covid, we were getting unmanageable. As a result, we may have to limit attendees. This is a free-to-use venue, and we have to be mindful that other folk want to use the same space. Come and play board games! We play all types of games on a Wednesday night, ranging from social deduction and lighter games to heavy euros and complex strategy titles. Beginners are very welcome, we'd love to see you! We'll always welcome you on the night and make sure we get you into a game, and we have plenty of players on hand happy to teach the rules to different games - so don't worry if you're not sure what to play or who to sit with. We don't charge for attending the Meetup, but you will need to pay the Ludoquist's game session fee of £8 per person (unless you have a Gold or VIP [membership](https://www.theludoquist.com/collections/membership-2022)). Blood on the Clocktower is a 5–20 player Hidden identity game (similar to Traitors, Mafia or Werewolf) where a good team tries to identify a the evil team before they eliminate the whole village. ### **June Necromancer’s Awakening \| Free Undead Mini Event** Step into the grave this June with Necromancer’s Awakening at The Arcane Foundry. Join us for a paint and sip experience where you’ll receive a free undead miniature and explore the dark forces of necromancy in Warhammer Fantasy and The Old World. Whether you’re new to the hobby or a seasoned painter, this event invites you to raise something from the dead and make it your own. Learn techniques for painting bone, decay, ghostly effects, and weathered armor while diving into the lore and battlefield role of undead factions. From shambling skeletons to cursed revenants, you’ll bring a lifeless model to unholy existence. All supplies are provided, space is limited, and the dead are waiting to rise.

We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able! Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for!
