For those 55 and over who play or would like to learn games such as Catan, Wingspan, Sequence, Risk, Ticket to Ride, Pandemic. Timing: Saturday January 17, 2026, from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. (Sorry - I had to change the date from Jan. 10 to Jan. 17.) Feel free to arrive anytime within this window. If you can’t make this date/time, feel free to send your contact information to my email below, and I will see if you might be able to be worked into a similar future event. Location: Braddock District Supervisor’s Office (their Braddock Hall). The address is 9002 Burke Lake Road, Burke, VA 22015. It’s in the same building as the Kings Park Library, but follow the signs for the Braddock District Supervisor office, which is around the back. There is plenty of free parking either around back by the District Supervisor’s office, or in the front by the library. Joyce and I will provide light snacks and refreshments. If desired, you are welcome to bring your own food/drink items to supplement mine. Note that as the Organizer of this Meetup group, I am billed $359.98 annually to continue this meetup group. Everyone is encouraged to get vaccinated, but not required. I just got mine. I don't want to get any of my friends sick! I will, however, be screening for a standard set of COVID symptoms. If you are showing any symptoms that could make people nervous, please postpone coming to the meetup till you're over it. While sneezing is not a COVID symptom, I think folks would rather not risk getting even a cold right now, so again please don't show up if this is the case, even if you're sure it is just an allergy. On the other hand, no masks are required, although feel free if it'd make you more comfortable. General day of games! Whatever folks feel like playing. Bring your own or learn a new one! If you want to play a longer game, you might want to propose it on the meetup discussion to judge interest. I'll have snacks and soda on hand. Additional snacks or soda welcome. We usually order out for dinner and then continue on till 10pm. The games we usually play tend towards those requiring more thinking than typical family or party games and they are usually in the 2-4 hour range. Photos from past meet ups can give you a sense of them. We do sometimes play lighter games though.

Open play for American Mahjong. We welcome players of all levels although we do not offer lessons. Players should have their own official 2025 American Mahjong League Card. We play in room 109 at the Greenbelt Community Center.

We play a variety of games with a focus on high interaction Euros. Events will start with quick games while people arrive and eat lunch. We will start longer games between 1:30pm and 2pm. Directions If you're taking the Orange, Silver, or Blue lines, exit at the Foggy Bottom metro station and walk two blocks to the east. If you are taking the Red Line, Farragut North is an approximately a 15 minute walk away. There is also free street parking to the north.

This club meets every Friday evening in the Rockville United Church hall, with games starting at 7pm and play continuing until very late. Games are mostly heavy euros, with some 18xx and short format games. Arrival at or before 7pm is strongly recommended. Food and beverages are welcome, but no alcohol. A small, ($2) cash donation is welcome. The club has a curated 100 game library on-site, but most gamers bring their own games. Games played vary over time, but games like SETI, Ark Nova, Power Grid, City of the Big Shoulders, Dune Imperium, Mombasa, and Hansa Teutonica have seen recent play.

The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area! Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the building that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.

Join us at the Pickerington Public Library for an afternoon board game party. This all ages event will meet in the front meeting room, with kids games and light/medium weight adult games for the grown ups. Come and make new friends while playing some favorites like Uno, Carcasonne, Catan, Ticket to Ride, or whatever your favorite games are! You can bring snacks to this room, and can check out games from the library's game collection.

Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations. 
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus. 
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn. 
Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play. 
Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders… 
Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords… 
IMPORTANT: 
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for. 
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.

This is a time where players of all ages, and skill levels can gather and enjoy a nice Sunday full of Chess!
