Join us for a welcoming, carefully crafted and thoughtfully facilitated experience of meaningful conversations that go beyond the small talk.\*\*\*** No business cards or job titles. No small talk. No pressure to perform. No intimidating crowds. \-\-\- We often hear how difficult it can be to make new friends as an adult and particularly when moving abroad; or when rebuilding social circles cos old friends have moved away or onto new life phases. . Socialising attempts often mean standing in a crowded room, wearing a polite smile, and answering the same three questions: *"What do you do?" "Where are you from?" "How long have you been here?"* Great for breaking the ice, but rarely leading to something inspiring or meaningful. It’s exhausting. It feels like a performance. . While the absence of authentic connection and meaningful conversations can sometimes leave us feeling a little lonely or like we don't belong. . **Authentic You Me** *was born with a desire to change that.* \-\-\- **Welcome to Authentic You Me**, the home of mindful, intentional socials we baptised as 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 - our own thoughtful, refreshing and carefully crafted way of changing how we meet and connect with others. Join me for a carefully and lovingly curated slow-friending evening that is all about embracing your authentic self, connecting on a deeper level with like-minded people, challenging your perspective and sparking curiosity through stimulating conversations – all in a welcoming, non-intimidating & hyggelige setting. Across The Table: Dinner, Wine & Real Conversation in Copenhagen
Across The Table: Dinner, Wine & Real Conversation in Copenhagen
\*\*This gathering is now sold out\*\* We will be back in touch when we are ready to release details for the next one 🫶🏼 Making friends in Copenhagen can be surprisingly hard. Not because people are unkind, but because real connection often needs the right setting. **Across The Table Copenhagen** is our answer to that: a small, hosted dinner for women who want to meet new people in a way that feels natural, thoughtful, and a little bit special. For our first dinner, we’ll gather in a beautiful art space in Copenhagen for food, wine pairings, and guided conversation around the table. This is not a networking event. There are no pitches, no awkward name tags, and no pressure to perform. It is simply a warm, intimate evening with good food, wine, art, and conversation designed to move beyond the usual “Where are you from?” and “How long have you been here?” This event is for international women, Danes who have lived abroad, and anyone who wants to build more meaningful connections in Denmark. This event is designed to feel easy to join, even if you come on your own. The conversation will be hosted, so you won’t need to worry about breaking into a group or navigating awkward small talk.. **Included in your ticket:** Dinner Wine pairings A beautiful art space setting Hosted conversation A small, curated group of women **Seats:** 10 total **Ticket:** 750 DKK **How to reserve your seat** Please note that RSVP’ing on Meetup does not confirm your place at the table. To attend, please purchase your ticket here: **https://www.thescandishift.com/across-the-table** Your seat is only reserved once payment is complete. After purchasing, you’ll receive confirmation and event details by email. Come for the food and wine. Leave with the feeling that Copenhagen got a little warmer.

Nightwood by Djuna Barnes
Nightwood by Djuna Barnes
Thanks to everyone who joined for our latest discussion of *Zorba the Greek* by Nikos Kazantzakis yesterday. It was wonderful to see both familiar and new faces, and I hope you all had a meaningful and enjoyable conversation. The next book to read is *[Nightwood](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightwood)* (1936) by [Djuna Barnes](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Djuna_Barnes). Set primarily in Paris during the interwar years, *Nightwood* follows a group of deeply entangled characters navigating love, obsession, longing, identity, and loss. Dark, poetic, and psychologically intense, the novel has become one of the defining works of literary modernism. A short description of the book reads: *Widely regarded as a modernist masterpiece, Nightwood explores desire, alienation, gender, and emotional dependency through some of the most lyrical and haunting prose of the twentieth century. It is also considered one of the earliest major novels to openly portray same-sex love between women.* You can read more about the book [here](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53101.Nightwood) and listen to it as an audiobook [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoAM5_gJNZw): Although *Nightwood* has never had a major film adaptation, the novel has had a profound literary influence. Writers such as T. S. Eliot, who helped edit and publish the book, praised its style and originality, and it has since become a cult classic within both modernist and queer literary history. For other resources on how to get a hold of classic books, please see the *[About](https://www.meetup.com/copenhagen-classic-book-book-club/)* section on the front page of the group. We meet up on **Saturday, June 13th, at 4 p.m.** The location will once again be the [Garden of the Royal Library](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Library_Garden,_Copenhagen). During the spring and summer months, we always meet outside here. If the weather turns rainy, we will simply move indoors. Please remember to bring your suggestion for the next classic book to read. And, as always, please be mindful and respectful of each other, so that everyone feels welcome and appreciated. In the meantime, happy reading/listening — or however you prefer to do it.

Everyone is welcome to talk, but if you prefer to just join and listen, that is perfect too. Softer Dating - 35-55
Softer Dating - 35-55
**Summer Flavours & The Art of Embodied Dating** \- \(Age 35\-55\)\* As the summer heat slowly starts to build, we invite you to another round of Softer Dating! [Tickets through House of Play](https://www.houseofplay.dk/special-events/softer-dating-1) Dating can often times feel very “heady” and intellectual. We think about what to say, try to be funny etc. but by doing that we miss out on a bunch of other juicy and good stuff! This is for you, if you are ready to explore new ways of being in connection beyond the regular small-talk. The thing is, our bodies are incredibly good at understanding what they like and dislike. While the mind is busy making up stories, the body, already senses what is happening in this moment. In this event you are invited to allow your body to lead your experience. *Words and thoughts get to take a little break tonight.* You won’t have to think about what to say next, what to share in order to fill the silence. You get full permission to be in the body, and we will guide you into that space. **WHAT YOU'LL TAKE WITH YOU** Beyond the evening itself, many people leave with: * **New ways of connecting** - discovering forms of interaction that go beyond talking * **Greater body awareness** - more in touch with your own body, your yes, and no * **Self-knowledge** - understanding yourself more deeply through experience rather than analysis * **Confidence** - both in social spaces and in honoring your own boundaries * **A shifted perspective** - on how you approach people and relationships going forward You'll learn to take responsibility for your own experience, developing the skill and ability to shape what happens rather than waiting for the other person to create it. This often translates into presence, a quality that serves you far beyond dating. **THE EVENING** **Part 1: Embodied Moments of connection** You’ll meet a range of people through short, guided one-on-one experiences. By removing the pressure of choosing, we create space to simply be present and curious. Consent is explicit throughout. All exercises are invitations, you can always choose to do less or observe. **Part 2: Guided exploration with choice** As the group has landed and found comfort together, you now choose freely who you want to connect with. We’ll explore connection through: • Moving your body (dance, movement) • Mindful touch (soft, consensual) • Curious conversations • Observation & rest (take a break anytime) Touch and closeness may arise, if desired. The atmosphere is intimate but not sexual. No nudity, no pressure. PS: We don’t share the specific exercises in advance for a couple of reasons: to keep the surprise; because what we do depends on the group’s energy. See it as an invitation to trust and stay curious! [Tickets through House of Play](https://www.houseofplay.dk/special-events/softer-dating-1) **WHO IS THIS FOR?** People aged 35-55 looking for meaningful connections. Any gender expression, style of relating, and sexual preference welcome. **DO I NEED EXPERIENCE?** No! Beginners are very welcome. **DO I NEED TO BRING A PARTNER?** No, though it might be nice to bring a friend! **TICKETS** 280 kr for members 350 kr for non-members We offer a 20% discount to students and low income. Discounts cannot be used on top of other discounts. Please reach out to [info@houseofplay.dk](mailto:info@houseofplay.dk) [Buy Ticket](https://www.houseofplay.dk/special-events/softer-dating-1) Tickets are non-refundable. Be sure to read our cancellation policy and no-show fee [here](https://www.houseofplay.dk/terms-and-conditions) **CODE OF CONDUCT** Please read our [Code of Conduct](https://www.houseofplay.dk/code-of-conduct) before attending 1 of 4 Chilies 🌶️ Read about our chili system [here](https://www.houseofplay.dk/chili-system) **QUESTIONS?** *What if I don’t like an exercise?* You can observe instead. We encourage people to take care of their boundaries—it happens and we think it’s wonderful. *What if I feel awkward?* Awkwardness and shyness are welcome. You don’t need to pretend. Most people relax naturally after some time. *What about the gender ratio?* We can’t guarantee your preference will be there, but so far we’ve had a wide, colorful distribution of genders! *What if I’m paired with someone I don’t find attractive?* Softer Dating is about connection, not just romance. Can you bring respect and curiosity, even if there’s no spark? Also, know that you can always step out. **ABOUT THE FACILITATOR** Hi, I’m Philipp (call me Pyt). I’ve been creating intimate events and workshops for years because I love creating spaces where people can unfold and enjoy themselves. I work as a life coach and kink facilitator. Ideation - Mind over Machine
Ideation - Mind over Machine
**Regenerative software may just be the most purposeful rabbit hole you could dive into RIGHT NOW and we want to explore it together.** **— Where do we see potential for regenerative software?** "Mind over Machine", the new Think-tank and Laboratory for regenerative software is now formally established, and we will run a first round of ideation with the community. **The purpose is simple**: Generate ideas that can form the foundation of the first projects to run in the laboratory: A survey, an Open Source tool, an article, a podcast, a tutorial, a model ...anything goes really! Maybe you are a student and need a purposeful topic to base your master-thesis or internship on. Or maybe you just dream of joining forces with others around ideas you have, that would make the world a better place - **this is it!** **Mind Over Machine** **We will collectively generate, challenge and shape the initial ideas that could define MoM. Expect slightly half-baked thoughts and enthusiastic disagreement.** Join our Open Space style meeting for generation of initial ideas. The program will play out roughly as follows: * Brainstorm ideas, record them in an online backlog * From stage, briefly pitch each idea in the backlog * Upvote the ones that you believe in and would like to contribute to * Similar to Open Space Discussions, we will organize in parallel groups in short time slots and each group will discuss and record project details and perspectives to the ideas * If possible we will organize in work groups around the most vivid ideas and launch projects. **Prior to the event (optional):** You are welcome to take a jump start and present some of your ideas, even prior to the event. The following is a short description on the infrastructure and process we will use. 1. Create an [account on GitHub](https://github.com/signup) if you haven't already. 2. We will be working in the [GitHub Discussions (Ideas category)](https://github.com/orgs/mindovermachine-dev/discussions/categories/ideas) in our @mindovermachine-dev organization. 3. You will see that there are already a few ideas drafted out. 4. CONTINUE! Add your own ideas. If someone else already wrote an idea you like, vote it up, comment on it, supplement it with your own perspective. 5. Consider reading the [Guideline for suggesting ideas](https://github.com/orgs/mindovermachine-dev/discussions/3) first **See you there 🌱**

Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations. If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!). **HOW IT WORKS** **Step 1: Bring a topic** Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event. **Step 2: Circle up & share** We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds. **Step 3: Walk, talk & float** We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!" **Step 4: Feel more alive** Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times. *For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)* **HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC** A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about. Recent topics include: * "What are you passionate about right now?" * "What makes a good friend?" * "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?" * "How do you want to be remembered?" * "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?" Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter. **WHAT TO EXPECT** This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.* But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here. **FAQ** * Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk! * We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space. * We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space. * Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know. * Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic! **LOGISTICS** * If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event. * This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs. * Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details. * If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. 🤠👋 **IF YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER...** [The Board](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board) is the next step: a high-trust collective for renaissance people devoted to creating, connecting, and building lives that light us up. * This is a global HQ for people who crave big talk, deep connection, and dream collaborations with people across industries. Battle of the personal agents
Battle of the personal agents
Join the Columbus AI community for a special event. **Battle of the Personal Agents** is your chance to see what people are actually building with AI agents and personal automation systems. Whether you’re running OpenClaw, Hermes, or a completely custom solution, bring your agent and show the community how it works. We’re interested in real-world implementations: the problems your agent solves, how you use it day-to-day, how it’s hosted and managed, how you built it, and why you’ve chosen to keep using it. Live demonstrations are encouraged, so be prepared to show your code, architecture, workflows, and your agent performing real tasks. This is less about polished presentations and more about sharing practical experience, comparing approaches, and learning from one another. If you’d like to present, please contact Chris Slee (via meetup) before the event so we can allocate enough time for everyone’s demonstrations. Come ready to show what you’ve built, discover what others are doing, and maybe find a few ideas worth taking home. Whether you’re deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus.
