Brunch Club: Make New Friends
Brunch Club: Make New Friends
⚠️ **IMPORTANT: You must sign up and buy a ticket here to attend:** [https://groupvibe.com/](https://groupvibe.com/) **Join the Toronto City Brunch Club and make new friends!** Each meetup brings together 4–6 people for casual conversations over brunch. We use the Groupvibe platform to facilitate the meetup and ensure everyone’s a good fit. 👉 **To attend, you’ll need to complete registration via this link:** [https://groupvibe.com/](https://groupvibe.com/) We’ll share the exact location of the upcoming meetup the night before only if you have bought a ticket or membership plan. **Why this works:** \* Smaller groups make real conversations easier. \* Discover new restaurants in your city, together. \* Curated lunch venues with good food and vibe. \* If you hit it off with your group, there’s plenty of time to hang out afterwards. **Note:** RSVPs on Meetup don’t reflect total attendance. Many attendees register directly via our website. The event on [Meetup.com](http://meetup.com/) is only a placeholder. This meetup is organized by Groupvibe, a small team passionate about helping people form meaningful friendships offline.
🎤🍻 SOCIAL NIGHT & KARAOKE @ TAPS BAR & GRILL 🍻🎤
🎤🍻 SOCIAL NIGHT & KARAOKE @ TAPS BAR & GRILL 🍻🎤
🎤🍻 **NIGHT SOCIAL & KARAOKE @ TAPS BAR & GRIL**L 🍻🎤 Good Food, Good Vibes & A Mic (If You Want It) Sometimes the best way to meet people… isn’t a walk — it’s a table, a drink, and a little bit of chaos in the form of karaoke. Join us for a relaxed, social night at Taps Bar and Grill — a laid-back spot where we can hang out, eat, laugh, and (optionally) take the stage. This is one of those nights where there’s no pressure to perform, no expectations — just a group of people getting together, having a good time, and maybe cheering each other on. Sing if you want. Don’t sing if you don’t want. Either way — you’re part of the fun. 👉 **Don’t forget to join our WhatsApp group** – [CLICK HERE!](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc?mode=ac_t) *** 🎤 What We’ll Do We’ll meet outside Taps and head in together to grab a table. From there, it’s all about settling in — ordering food, having some drinks, and getting to know each other in a relaxed, easygoing environment. Karaoke will be happening throughout the night, so if you feel like jumping in, go for it. If not, sit back, enjoy the show, and be part of the vibe. This is a great event if you’re newer to the group or just want something more low-key and social. *** 🌙 Vibe & Expectations This is a chill, welcoming night — not a performance, not a competition. It’s about: ✔️ Meeting new people ✔️ Having real conversations ✔️ Letting loose a little No pressure, no awkward setups — just a solid hang with good people, food, and something happening in the background. *** 🧢 Meetup Details 📍 Meetup Location: Outside Taps Bar & Grill 🫎 I’ll be wearing my Moose Hat ⏰ Meetup Time: 8:30 PM I will only wait 5 minutes before heading inside, so try to be on time. 🎤 Karaoke Time: 9:30PM 🍔🍺 Part of the night is supporting the space we’re in — plan to grab at least one drink or appetizer to help keep places like this welcoming for our group *** 🎟️ Meetup Fee: $5 cash in person or e-transfer to Members who have not been to my event, have to send the e-transfer as soon as they sign up. 📧 **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** Please note: Food and drinks are separate and paid individually. This fee helps support the group and allows us to keep hosting events like this. Thank you for supporting community! 💖 *** 🎒 What to Bring Yourself (that’s the main thing) Cash/card for food & drinks A song idea… just in case 🎤 *** 🌈 Who Is This For? This group is open to anyone who wants to be social and make friends — whether single or not. We also host: 🎬 Movies 🚶 Walks & hikes 🎭 Arts & culture outings 🍽️ Restaurant gatherings There’s always something happening. *** REMEMBER: You’re welcome to just show up if you’re unsure about your schedule. And as always, sometimes plans shift and events may need to be canceled — please keep an eye on updates. *** 👤 Organizer: Mathew Questions? Post on the event wall or email 📧 torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com Come for the food. Stay for the laughs. Leave with new people in your life — and maybe a song stuck in your head. 🎶✨

Lunch at Hawker (after Vegetarian trek for omnivores)
Lunch at Hawker (after Vegetarian trek for omnivores)
This is a companion event for [Vegetarian trek for omnivores](https://www.meetup.com/hike-to-eat/events/313774090). You don't have to do the hike to join this, but it's more rewarding if you do. [Hawker](https://www.hawker.to/) is perhaps the most innovative vegan restaurant in Toronto. Drawing inspiration from one of the oldest vegetarian traditions, several of their dishes fuse Indian influences with modern sensibilities. Take their biryani, for example, spiked with smoked poblano and lavender. Other dishes reflect the global experiences of the chefs. It's fine dining standards with casual prices. If there are many people on the waitlist and it's at least 5 days before the event, we may arrange another table. **Payment** * The $5 event fee is a deposit. It will be refunded when you show up. * After signing up for the event, you have 24 hours to e-transfer the fee to globaltorontoeats@gmail.com * If you're on the waitlist, you don't have to pay the deposit until a space opens up. You have 24 hours to pay the deposit after you've made it off the waitlist. * When sending the e-transfer, please add a note that mentions your meetup.com name. * If you don't pay in time, you will be removed from the attendee list. The spot will be given to the next person on the waitlist. **Cancellation and refund policy** * You can cancel and get a full refund 5 calendar days before the event. For example, if the event is on Friday 7pm, you can cancel without penalty anytime before the preceding Sunday 11:59pm. * No refunds within 5 calendar days of the event, unless someone can be found to take your place. * Full refund if the event is cancelled or rescheduled.

About the venue: The Pint Public House Nearest Subway: Union Station Map / Directions: https://maps.app.goo.gl/G5GfXDSQXeifJ5ot5 We make an effort to find pubs that are quiet and introvert friendly, with a section to ourselves. We make no effort to muffle our extroverts, but should they get out of hand, our resident INTJ will use their death stare, to pull them back in line.

This month we're going to be doing a panel with with digital image, music, and written word artists, talking about at what point, while using AI in the creation process, does the work become not the artist creation? We encourage audience participation during this event that will be moderated by Chris Slee.
