Have you ever been curious about nature on a microscopic level? Maybe you have explored galaxies, birds, flowers, plants, insects...but what about on a smaller scale, like the things living inside a drop of pond water? We organize small hands-on sessions where we collect simple samples from nature and observe them with the prototypes of a portable digital microscope developed by Eureka Microscope ([eurekamicroscope.com](http://eurekamicroscope.com/)), a startup from ETH Zurich. We are looking for people who enjoy nature, photography, hiking, biodiversity, or simply discovering things that are usually invisible. Some sessions will also be part of our early prototype testing. That means you can try the microscope, tell us what feels exciting or frustrating, and help shape a new tool that extends nature exploration to a new scale. No relevant background is needed. Just bring your curiosity :) ________________________________________ Come by anytime during the event and try two portable digital microscope prototypes (one with 100X magnification, another with 150X) in the park. We’ll set up at the meeting point with microscopes, basic sample tools, and a few example samples. When you arrive, we’ll show you how use the microscope and what kinds of things nearby might be interesting to look at. After the short introduction, you can walk around the park, collect your own samples, and observe them under the microscope. The microscope can connect to your own phone or iPad through wifi, so you can take and save photos or videos directly on your device. This is a casual drop-in event, so you don’t need to arrive exactly at the starting time or stay for the whole session. You can use the microscope as long as you want, if this doesn't prevent another attendee from using it. Parents are welcome to bring children. **What is SOLA?** [SOLA ](https://asvz.ch/event/412-sola-stafette)is a relay run around Zurich city. A 14x runners team covers a total distance of 114.77 km and an altitude difference of 2,640 m in the greater Zurich area. The race starts with a leg 1 at 7:30 (all registered teams are slow teams) in the misty Hönggerberg woods. Then runners 2 to 7 head out into Engstringen, up and along the Uetliberg and back into town, finishing at the beautiful University Irchel. The afternoon runners 8-12 start at 12:30 . The trail heads through Forch to Egg and comes back to Witikon. Two short runs from there to the finish at Irchel complete the race. We meet at tents across the lake from the finish. Handover is done by a handshake to the next runners so **it's important to turn up early**. Runners 1, 8 and 13 start sharp at 7:30, 12:30 and 16:45 respectively. NOVA Code and Coffee is an inclusive, informal, co-working session. People of all skill levels are invited. The concept is simple, bring a laptop and ideas, we'll provide the coffee and donuts! Here's how it works: 1. At 10:15 everyone introduces themselves and briefly describes what brought them to Code & Coffee today (project, homework, networking, etc) 2. For the rest of the day, folks work in the communal space on their projects providing one another help and conversation as needed. Oh and they usually drink coffee and tea too! That's it! **ProductTank NoVA is back!** After a brief hiatus, we are relaunching the chapter with a format that cuts out the fluff and gets straight to the reality of building. Instead of a polished keynote, we are hosting **0 to 1 with AI: Real Product Talks**—a "Show & Tell" featuring 3–4 lightning talks focused on the intersection of AI and product. Our first Technoverts meetup had a great turnout, so we're doing it again, this time with an optional conversation theme: **How people are actually using AI in everyday work and life**. This is not a panel or presentation, and I do not have a fixed agenda, it's just a relaxed coffee conversation for people in tech (or tech-adjacent fields) who are curious about practical AI use cases, useful tools, workflow hacks, weird experiments, and what's generally helping people right now. *Topics might include:* * AI tools people actually use at work * Productivity and automation * Prompting successes and failures * Writing, coding, research, analytics and creative use cases * What feels overhyped vs. genuinely useful. No expertise is required.
