You’ll get to experience the style, exercises and atmosphere firsthand before deciding whether deeper training is right for you. The workshop stands alone - you’ll still leave with practical tools, insights and the option to practice doing some speaking (if you wish) - and if you feel drawn to continue, attendees receive an exclusive discount towards the full programme (normally £498). The class will also include some group discussions to learn more about why we struggle with public speaking, and what solutions we can use to help us. Our principles are grounded in authenticity. Our approach to helping people overcome their fears is done through encouraging participants to drop the personas they wear in their day-to-day lives in order to express themselves with honesty, and discover their natural speaking style. We’re big fans of embracing vulnerability and strongly believe it’s a strength, not a weakness. Only through vulnerability do we drop our guard and communicate in a way that truly connects to others. **The Session will include:** \- Why we struggle with nervousness when speaking in public \- Our approach for embracing and overcoming these feelings \- Practical techniques to help you come out of your head and speak using your intuition \- A chance to practice delivering a short impromptu speech \- And much more\! \*\*Secure tickets HERE by [signing up on our Eventbrite page](https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/free-public-speaking-class-in-london-tickets-151793471359)\*\* **About our teachers:** We have been running workshops since 2014. We have trained 10,000+ people. Our teachers compete in public speaking tournaments, have a mixture of traditional and improv acting training, studied various meditation and mindfulness techniques and are passionate about human psychology and behaviour. **Testimonials from past students:** "Definitely the best public speaking workshop I have been on! It’s much more than just improving your public speaking skills, it takes a deeper look into the subject, in terms of fears, and humanity. Mike’s approach and techniques is really about to gain a deep understanding to unlock your authentic self. It was transformative! Highly recommended!" - Kristīne Šica "Highly recommend this ! The teaching and approach is incredible and it works! I come so far in so many ways during the course of these workshops and been an incredible investment. Cheers Mike & Team" - Jez Williams Check out our [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/search?q=School+of+Connection&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAA_-NgU1I1qDCxMDczMDUxNU5JNTBLs0izMqgwTTUxNwaiJONEUwMjC4tFrCLByRn5-TkK-WkKzvl5eanJJZn5eQCGm1T4QAAAAA&hl=en&mat=CeauyV6l-fEkElYBpsFAC8HrnCPUPL5X21SFnV76ZHgJT6CYryblg9XcRxlZIopmomk7pa9VjBtQnKp2gHTa0ojvHwwS4or4aELTqJYZw7I0KHBSgX9ijR0oYgBFylK3ow&authuser=1#lrd=0x487605453de06f8f:0x5e473473b3a50288,1,,,,1 "https://www.google.com/search?q=School+of+Connection&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAA_-NgU1I1qDCxMDczMDUxNU5JNTBLs0izMqgwTTUxNwaiJONEUwMjC4tFrCLByRn5-TkK-WkKzvl5eanJJZn5eQCGm1T4QAAAAA&hl=en&mat=CeauyV6l-fEkElYBpsFAC8HrnCPUPL5X21SFnV76ZHgJT6CYryblg9XcRxlZIopmomk7pa9VjBtQnKp2gHTa0ojvHwwS4or4aELTqJYZw7I0KHBSgX9ijR0oYgBFylK3ow&authuser=1#lrd=0x487605453de06f8f:0x5e473473b3a50288,1,,,,1") for more. **More on Our Philosophy:** Our mission is bigger than just helping people become better at public speaking, our mission is to help create a more transparent and connected society. Our society celebrates extrinsic success; confidence is presented to be smooth, slick, suave and charismatic. Because of this we neglect parts of our personality, our feelings, our idiosyncrasies, our uniqueness, our quirkiness and ultimately our vulnerability in pursuit of becoming confident, according to what society deems as confidence. However, we risk becoming ‘well-rehearsed robots’ and not sincere individuals, who aren’t afraid of expressing their humanness. Our approach offers a very non-conventional way of become an empowering and inspiring communicator. **Our Previous Brand (Public Speaking London):** **[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl7dAKFp1qs&t=98s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl7dAKFp1qs&t=98s "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl7dAKFp1qs&t=98s")** **Contact details:** **[https://schoolofconnection.org/](https://schoolofconnection.org/ "https://schoolofconnection.org/")** Email: hello@schoolofconnection.org Phone: 020 3151 9908

Speed Speaking, Express & Connect
Speed Speaking, Express & Connect
Want to become more confident speaking in front of others, without the pressure of formal public speaking? This event is designed to help you **build confidence in speaking naturally, expressing your thoughts more freely, and feeling more comfortable using your voice in everyday life and in front of a group.** Due to the growing interest in our Speed Speaking event, we’ve now moved it to Sunday so more people can join and enjoy the experience together. So, what actually happens? We gather in a relaxed, welcoming circle and take turns responding to short, playful, and thought-provoking prompts. Some questions are lighthearted and funny, while others spark curiosity, reflection, or unexpected conversations. You’ll have **up to two minutes per turn**, just enough time to express yourself without pressure, and everyone gets several opportunities to speak throughout the session. Each round introduces a fresh topic and a new invitation to share. There’s no need to perform, impress anyone, or “say the right thing.” The goal is simply to practice speaking in a supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to be themselves. You’re always free to actively participate or simply listen and absorb the atmosphere. Either way, you’ll be surrounded by warmth, kindness, laughter, and encouraging people. What makes this experience special is how naturally confidence begins to grow. Without forcing anything, you slowly become more at ease speaking up, sharing your thoughts, and trusting your own voice, both in public speaking and in daily conversations. Come for the conversation, stay for the connection, and leave feeling lighter, more confident, and more comfortable being yourself 💛 The event is completely **free**, and no ticket is needed. **Please arrive in front of Arundel Building between 14:40 and 14:55** Then we will head up together to the room on the 5th floor and begin the session at 15:00 promptly. To keep the experience smooth and uninterrupted for everyone, entry won’t be possible after 15:00 Please RSVP in advance and keep your attendance status updated, as the activities and flow of the event are planned around the number of participants.
A Lovely Bank Holiday Spring Walk Virginia Water Cascades → Windsor Castle
A Lovely Bank Holiday Spring Walk Virginia Water Cascades → Windsor Castle
Bank Holiday Spring Walk, Virginia Water Cascades to Windsor Castle Staying in London this Bank Holiday? Let’s escape the city together. Join us for a beautiful spring countryside walk from Virginia Water Lake and finishing near Windsor Castle. Many of our members attend our trips solo, however feel free to invite your friends and family. Expect: • Waterfalls, Deer Park & woodland • Blossoms & lakeside paths • Relaxed social pace • Ice cream, Café or pub stop in Windsor • Most attendees come solo This is a scenic 7–8 mile walk at a comfortable pace. Come alone. Walk together. Finish with castle views. Limited spaces to keep the group manageable. Walk. Bloom. Connect. Perfect for: • Solo socialisers • Nature lovers • People staying in London for the bank holiday • Those wanting fresh air without going abroad Check photos of our past visit, it was a lovely trip which was enjoyed by us all https://www.meetup.com/Passionate-about-Travelling-Food-and-Events/photos/31438998/#496630274 Towards the north of the park, on a rise, is the copper horse statue. From there, the 4km Long Walk, an iconic tree lined path, slopes downhill to Windsor Castle, besides the Thames. Virginia Water Lake was originally little more than a stream. During World War II, the lake was drained, as its obvious shape provided enemy guidance at night to Windsor and other important military targets in the area. It has been used by the crews for the Harry Potter films for lakeside scenes. The Cascade, or Waterfall, is also notable. It was constructed from stones brought from Bagshot Heath. They are rumoured to be the remains from a Saxon settlement. From the Cascade a stream runs through a glen and ultimately enters the Thames at Chertsey. By the side of the Cascade, immense stones are arranged to form a cavern known as 'The Robber's Cave'. **Walk description** Distance: 7 - 8 miles Grading: Easy no steep hills, flat path all the way Rating: 2 out of 10 Ascent: 189m Walk time: About 4.5 to 6.5 hours of actual walk/stroll, depending how fast we walk and how many of us. On my first trip during Covid there were 30 of us, it took 6 hours to arrive to Windsor due to the size and lack of exercise as a result of being cooped up at home for way too long, we had a few breaks along the way while others caught up with us. Recently with a smaller group of 15 to 20 it took us 4 hours. There will be 2 or 3 10 to 15 minutes break during our walk, as well as a 30 minutes lunch break where we can have a picnic on the grass. On our arrival to Winsor, you can opt to break up into small groups, a chance for some to visit the castle, this will cost extra to enter, there is a shopping centre, and several eateries joints, or some may wish to walk along the River Thames path etc. This will be the 5th time i have organised this walk and we always end up at Lebanese Night which i discovered on my first visit. A restaurant severing delicious halal food and the price is quite reasonable too, check out website for details and menu [Lebanese Nights Windsor, Berkshire SL4 1PR - Menu, Reviews (94), Photos (20) - Restaurantji](https://www.restaurantji.co.uk/berkshire/windsor/lebanese-nights-/) So on arrival in Windsor after exploring you will find a few of us here address 41 Thames St, Windsor **MEETING POINT** We will meet at Clapham Junction Train station at 9 am outside Marks and Spencer. We will leave the meeting point at 9:10am for the 09:19 am train. Planned arrival time back into London of 7:00pm (we have a group train ticket and you are committed for the day until then). Please note that this train ticket will allow you to leave from Windsor to London from Windsor and Eton riverside train station. **FOOD** We will stop during the hike for a snack lunch so please bring food and drink. We will visit a pub after the hike where we can get refreshments. **Price £30 non refunded unless cancelled, minus PayPal fees** **PLEASE RSVP ONLY ONCE YOU HAVE MADE PAYMENT, IF YOU RSVP WITHOUT MAKING PAYMENT YOUR RSVP WILL CHANGE TO NOT GOING.** **PLEASE PAY VIA LINK AT GET A SOCIAL LIFE MEETUP BELOW** [A Lovely Bank Holiday Spring Walk Virginia Water Cascades → Windsor Castle, Sun, May 24, 2026, 9:00 AM | Meetup](https://www.meetup.com/passionate-about-travelling-food-and-events/events/313409274/?eventOrigin=notifications&notificationId=%3Cinbox%3E%2112493109-1771397972801) **What to Bring** • Suitable and comfortable clothing, hiking boots are not necessary as there are no steep hills, flat surface all the way. Men's Group meetup
Men's Group meetup
**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.** How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently? Then we will go into a topic discussion. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS** \*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\* 1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group. 2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every man’s truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every man’s perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another. 3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up. 4. Speak from the heart - this is NOT a space to “look good”, have the “right” answers, and have it all together. Relax and know you are not alone. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space. 5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each other’s lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable. 6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where it’s needed.
Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
This is a free, in person meeting. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well. Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship. Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action? Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships! Break free from self imposed limitations Here we will discuss: • How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes. • Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you? • Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it? • Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love? • Fights & arguments - what's really behind them? • What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others? • How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change? • Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them? • How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about? • How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career? Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general. Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person. Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life. We look forward to having you join us! This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.

Bring your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, microcontroller, or any other electronic project and join fellow electronics makers for a night of creativity and collaboration! This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired. **New to electronics or curious about tinkering?** You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building. While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. This session will be at the Worthington Park Library in the Olentangy Meeting Room.
