Argentine tango has nothing to do with the tango you've seen on TV. No dramatic dips. No fixed choreography to memorize. No performance. Real tango is a conversation. Two people, close together, listening to each other through touch and weight and breath. The leader proposes. The follower responds. The dance emerges from that - improvised, alive, completely in the present moment. It is one of the most direct ways I know to practice presence. In this introductory evening, you'll learn the basic structure of the embrace and a few simple steps. More importantly, you'll begin to feel what tango is actually about: connection. To your own body first, then to another person. You don't need a partner. You don't need dance experience. You need comfortable shoes with a smooth sole and an open mind. I've been dancing tango for years, and I come to it from the same place I come to everything else I teach: the body knows things the mind doesn't. Tango is one of the ways we learn to trust that. Partners are rotated during class so you practice with everyone. **What is Innate Dance?** Innate Dance is a joyful approach to movement, which invites deeper embodiment and self-connection through butoh inspired movement, Noguchi Taiso exercises, the Seki Method, somatic attention and imagination. Hey Badminton Enthusiasts! **This meet-up is only for intermediate players and up!** Everyone is welcome to join our large weekly events, test their skills and have some fun together! However, ***this event is for the people that want to push their skill forward and would like to play during the week as well.*** The host will reserve courts in advance, that means please only register if you really plan to come (or cancel at least 24 hours before the event starts).
