No sign\-ups required \| All levels welcome \| 21\+ If you're looking for a casual game of chess in a fun atmosphere, this event is for you! Members range from beginner to master level, and games are played both with and without time controls. There are dozens of players each week, with only a fraction of the participants registering on meetup. This event is held at a bar, the Board Room, in Washington, DC, and is intended for 21+ players. We meet upstairs, on the mezzanine. Upon arrival, fill out a name tag and indicate your relative skill, to facilitate match-ups. Chess sets and boards are provided. We don't have club clocks, but most people use the Chess Clock app from Chess.com to play timed games.

This is at the low end of a C hike but, at parts, there are rocky areas that require maneuvering around and over. This is \~6 mile hike with \~500' elevation gain on various trails in Great Falls Park Virginia. There is one steep ascent and one steep descent. I hike at an average pace of 2 to 2.5, faster on level. **Route:** We'll hike on the following trails -- River Trail to Ridge Trail to Swamp-Ridge Connector Trail to the Swamp Trail to the Old Carriage Road to the Matildaville Trail, to the Carriage Road and back to the RiverTrail. Our primary groups are outdoor movement groups, but we are launching virtual groups for the state of Ohio and beyond and the groups will move outside in the spring, creating room for men's groups, women's groups and coed groups all over the country.
