We're playing board games at Your Hobby Place, a Friendly Local Gaming Store in Old Town Alexandria. Feel free to bring your own games. They also have their own library of games available for play. We start at 6:00, but your group can certainly show up earlier. The store closes at 9:30. Snacks and drinks are available for sale, and several good restaurants are nearby. We play everything from fun, social games to light to heavy strategy games. Don't know how to play? Not a problem - we're happy to teach. It's a great chance to learn new games or play your favorites with non-competitive people who like to laugh. You can build a railroad, eradicate a plague, or explore the far reaches of the galaxy in one evening. While many will bring their own games, you can show up gameless and still play. We play at the Ballston Quarter mall basement food court on Wednesday from 6:30-10:00. Come and paint Minis with us! The Cask and Crown needs miniatures for members to borrow when playing their tabletop games! We have purchased some and 3D printed some but they need to be decorated, and you are the beneficiary! All supplies will be provided. If you love your mini when you are done painting, it will be available to take him for a modest price! We have a few established painters who can help guide us, but no existing skill is necessary. We will be playing two games of **Nemesis:** **Retaliation** with up to 4 players per game. All experience levels welcome. Expect the game teach to start promptly within the first 10 minutes. In **Nemesis: Retaliation** players take on the roles of highly trained marines, entering the alien nest with strict orders and the most advanced tools available. But will they be well-prepared enough to face the unrelenting horde that awaits them? Players must survive against overwhelming odds and the possibility of betrayal at every step. This is a semi-cooperative game in which you and your crewmates must survive on a ship infested with hostile organisms. To win the game, you have to complete one of the two objectives dealt to you at the start of the game and survive. While numerous teams prepare to enter the conversion facility, First Seeker Sarmak has tasked one special team with breaching the conversion facility’s central control room and dispatching the cure to conversion through the ventilation system. If successful, all the converted innocents within the Wreck will regain their autonomy and break free from the Wreck’s control.
