[Hike - Intermediate] 10Km Fast Pace - Heber Down - Whitby
Heber Down Conservation!
This is a **fast-paced** intermediate hike (**Going between 4.5-5km/hr**) with few stops. The beginning will be flat with the paved sections, and we will be going into the back trails, where there will be mud/snow. We will cover about 10km in 2 hours, **with minimal breaks**.
**Not a beginner hike!**
**THIS HIKE STARTS AT 9:30AM**
Bring a water bottle and dress for the weather.
Parts of the trail can get muddy/snowy from the snow. Be prepared.
We are going to meet at the Old Cullen Gardens parking lot.
Intersection Cochrane & Taunton.
Go to the back of the parking lot near the new Pickleball courts. The path starts to the left of the picnic shelter.
**Hike leaves promptly at 9:35AM**
**Winter Hiking Season Information:**
Please note that as we get into winter hiking with snow and slippery trails, we consider proper Crampons to be mandatory.

-A great event planned as we explore Parks, Trails, Cafes and beautiful Neighbourhoods with cool sites to see
-During the walk we will stop and rest at different spots, bathroom breaks, take some lovely scenic photos, group photos and share some laughs together
-Play a couple ice breaker games near the beginning of the walk as well to help us get to know one another

Badminton Enthusiast
This group is for badminton enthusiasts who are passionate about exploring the connections between metabolism, energy, and exercise. We are welcome beginner plus, intermediate and advance level players looking to improve your skill or a seasoned player seeking to optimize your performance on the court, this group is for you! Join us for friendly games. This badminton session is a weekly event and it is followed with dinner together but it is optional. Since we have 3 courts and allowed the maximum of 24 players so that everyone signs up for this event will be placed on waiting list FIRST then will be moved to the joining list on WEDNESDAY MORNING.
Court fee: It will be informed at the comment section by 4pm. Cost per person is either $162 (for 3 courts) divided by the number of players attended OR $108 (for 2 courts) divided by the number of players attended. My email address will be provided at that time for etransfer.
[North York] 30s Mingle Hike @ Sunnybrook Park to Glendon Forest (20KM)
Looking to meet others in their 30s? Sick of the bar scene? The best way to meet people is by doing what you love! So, join GTA Hiking & Stuff for a fun hike (walk) to Glendon Forest. A fun and active way to meet someone new, while doing something good for your health! Get some fresh air, exercise, and enjoy the last little bit of Summer weather. Plus, you'll end up walking over 25,000 steps and you'll sleep better, so win win!
**Here is what to expect:**
-approx. 20km hike suitable for strong beginners looking for a challenge on distance.
\- forested paths with flat and paved trail\, mostly along an easy path with stunning views\.
**Hike Includes:**
\* free parking (huge lot)
\* a blend of brisk and relaxed pace (we are NOT a fast hiking group). We wait for everyone and slow down when needed/stop and take breaks as needed.
**What you need to bring:**
* wear running shoes/walking shoes/hiking shoes
* pack at least 8 cups of water or beverage
* snacks and lunch as needed (lunch break at Glendon Campus fountain)
**MEETING SPOT:**
The exact meeting spot in Sunnybrook park is parking lot #2 Serena Gundy parking lot. Parking is free and the meeting spot is easy to access by public transportation.
**MEETING TIME:**
We meet at 11:00am and start walking at 11:10am.

This meetup will be capped at 15 spots.
Hikes are led by a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor also certified in emergency first aid and CPR training.

We’re planning a **Toronto Joy social**, a space to come together, meet one another, and have some really nice conversation over something to eat or drink, or just come and be part of it.
The intention is to get to know people in the group and see how everyone’s doing.
**Even if you’ve just been curious** or interested in ways to serve the community, it would be really nice to have you there.
We’ll be meeting at **Eataly Yorkville**, about a 2 minute walk from Yonge and Bloor subway station, near the main seating area in the centre where most of the tables are.
Look for the Toronto Joy group. We’ll have name tags so it’s easy to find us and know who we’re speaking with.
We’ll share a little about Toronto Joy and our intention, and also hear from you, what you’d like to be part of and how we can come together to make a difference.

Join Losing Weight in Columbus for a late morning walk at the Scioto Park!
We'll meet up by the climbing wall at 12:30 and go for a moderately paced walk. We will aim to go for an hour, but can cut it shorter if needed.
This will be a casual, but active walk where we chat with each other, discuss goals, and have some friendly banter along the way!
Vision Loss Support Group: Hadley
This meeting will be a presentation by Brannan Kenny of Hadley about their free remote services.
Target audience for this group is persons who are visually impaired, especially those who have experienced recent loss, however, all are welcome, including family members and supports. Light refreshments will be served.

We are recruiting new group leaders for virtual men's groups! Our primary groups are outdoor movement groups, but we are launching virtual groups for the state of Ohio and beyond and the groups will move outside in the spring, creating room for men's groups, women's groups and coed groups all over the country.

In person peer-led support group for survivors of complex trauma
**Complex Trauma Support Group**
Our group is intended for survivors of complex trauma. If you are here, it’s likely that so much of who you are and what you have experienced in this life is actually invisible to most people––to family, society, coworkers, and the people who are around you.
We are a peer-led group of survivors creating opportunities for ourselves and others to share our experiences, share support, and build relationships in kind community together. Survivor experiences might include: child sexual abuse, incest, child trafficking, and other experiences of people living with traumatic dissociation and complex PTSD.
**What to expect at your first meeting:**
Currently, we are offering a bi-monthly in person group at 2:00pm on the first and third Sunday of the month. The only criterion for joining the group is that you are a survivor of trauma wishing to have more kindness in your own life and share kindness with others, and that you agree to practice to group’s relational agreements available for view here: https://www.kindgroups.com/agreements. Joining the group is free of charge.
We ask that new people connect with us for 30 minutes on the phone or on zoom before coming to their first group, so that we can determine together that we are a good fit.
Our meetings last approximately 90 minutes. Participants are never required to share. You’re also welcome to choose a pseudonym and you will never be asked for private information. You are welcome to leave at any time.
The kindness that survivors can share when among others who have survived similar childhood experiences is something we rarely get to experience. Time spent with others who understand even a little bit more about us is a relief. Our hope is to help ourselves and others experience that we are not alone. We wish for our efforts to be a cause of kindness in our own lives and the lives of each other.
