**Open writing circle** For **LGBTQIA+** **Gast in diesem Monat: Alejandro Múnera** **[Free with registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/writing-circle/w26-2026/)** This workshop invites LGBTQI+ participants to approach writing as a practice of listening. Together, we will explore what it means to listen carefully to ourselves, to one another, and to the multiplicity of worlds we inhabit. It’ll also be an opportunity to consider how writing emerges from encounters, conversations, memories, silences, and different forms of attention. No previous writing experience is required; conducted in English, but open to all languages. The workshop invites participants interested in poetry, storytelling, reflection, and all forms of creative experimentation. **Words and stories reside within all of us, waiting to be discovered.** Our monthly Open Writing Circle invites people with all levels of writing experience to explore their creativity and imagination. In each session, one of Berlin’s many exceptional writers, poets, artists, or curators will create a vibrant and collective learning experience. Whether you’re interested in fiction, memoir, non-fiction, or poetry, this supportive space encourages you to uncover the words within you. We’ll draw upon techniques used in writing workshops to unleash your innate talent in a collaborative environment that will allow for a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights. This workshop aims to create an affirming, playful and empowering space for queer people to explore, express and celebrate their identities as well as to provide a platform for the stories of the LGBTQIA+ community to be shared, heard and valued. *\*\* This event is part of the we are village program ‘****[Belonging versus Lonelliness](https://wearevillage.org/village-quartiere/addressing-queer-lonliness)****‘, with the support of the* ***[LADS](https://www.berlin.de/sen/lads/en/)****.* *Learn more about the program [here](https://wearevillage.org/village-quartiere/addressing-queer-lonliness).* 🔵 **Open writing circle** Fur **LGTBQIA+** **Gast in diesem Monat: Alejandro Múnera** **[Kostenlos mit Anmeldung](https://wearevillage.org/shop/writing-circle/w26-2026/)** Dieser Workshop lädt LGBTQI+-Teilnehmende dazu ein, Schreiben als eine Praxis des Zuhörens zu verstehen. Sunset Book Club
Sunset Book Club
No assigned books. No pressure. Just bring whatever you’re reading, walk to the top of the tower, and watch Berlin turn golden while your pages do the same. Talk about what you are reading, and connect with fellow book lovers! How it works: We meet at the top of the Flakturm at 7:15. For the first 45 minutes, we read in silence (or near-silence) as the sun sets. Then we gather and each person shares: a highlight or passage they loved, a thought the book sparked, or just what they’ve been reading and why. Reading something that’s changing how you see the world? Bring it. Halfway through a novel you can’t put down? Tell us about it. Just started something and not sure yet? Perfect — let’s figure it out together. Why it works: Knowing you’ll share what you’ve read is the best motivation to actually read. And there’s something about watching a sunset that makes ideas feel worth talking about. Bring: a book, something to sit on, and something to drink. The view is already taken care of.

Ascent of Mount Brocken ⛰️🌳From Berlin 🚆
2 EURO DONATION FEE PER PERSON IS REQUIRED (on site, in cash), to pay back the Meetup subscription fees and support my Events. READ THE DESCRIPTION WITH THE INFO (IMPORTANT). WHATSAPP LINK BELOW 📳 We take the HBX train that departs from Berlin Gesundbrunnen at 07,02 AM and arrives to Ilsenburg at 10,29 🚉😀 The train is available also in Lichtenberg, Wannsee and Potsdam. I attach the screenshot with all the stations. Once in Ilsenburg station, we take a local bus to save a bit of walking (since the actual Hike will be already very long 😆💯). I attach the screenshot of this bus connection, here the website of the local buses (note: these connections are not present on Google Maps) 🚏: https://www.insa.de/ We then start our Hike and this is the path 🚶‍♀️🚶 The Brocken Mountain is the highest peak in northern Germany ⛰️ with an elevation of 1,142 meters https://www.komoot.com/tour/2936906879 Bring your own food 🍔 and drinks 🥤, we will take breaks where we deem appropriate. IMPORTANT: please consider that the Hike is 24kms with 860 meters of elevation difference, come only if you know that you are physically fit 😊 People who do not want/can make the whole Hike can join and decide to come back earlier without making the whole route 😊 NFO ℹ️ℹ️ Route distance: 24 kms Elevation difference: 860 meters up and 860 meters down (it is a loop) Breaks ⛔: When and where we deem appropriate. On the way back it seems there are no local buses, in the late afternoon, from Parkplatz Ilsenburg Brockenwanderung to the station, so maybe we should walk 2 kms more. A direct train to come back from Ilsenburg to Berlin is available at 17,31 (HBX), but maybe (or even probably) it will be too early for us. Other connections are anyway available, changing train in Magdeburg 🚉 If you have to contact me, make it via Whatsapp, not here on Meetup. Pilgrim Hike: Potsdam – Seddin (17 km) – Staying on the Way
Pilgrim Hike: Potsdam – Seddin (17 km) – Staying on the Way
This pilgrim hike leads us out of the city of Potsdam into a varied landscape of lakes, wetlands, forests, and open walking paths. Moving through the Lienewitz–Caputh chain of lakes and wetlands and along quiet forest trails, we practice walking with what is: one step, one stretch of path, one day at a time. 📅 **Date & Time** * **Date:** Saturday, June 27, 2026 * **Start:** 9:30 AM in front of Potsdam Hauptbahnhof *(*[https://maps.app.goo.gl/VgmwLcdbHVJQRRg6A*](https://maps.app.goo.gl/VgmwLcdbHVJQRRg6A*))\* * **End:** afternoon at Seddin train station *(Return via RE7 toward Berlin; trains run hourly)* 🗺️ **Route Highlights** * **Komoot:** [https://www.komoot.com/tour/2771067392](https://www.komoot.com/tour/2771067392) * **Caputh Palace** and surrounding parkland * Lienewitz–Caputh lakes and wetland landscape * Forest paths and walking trails * Swimming spot along the route *(optional dip)* 🤔 **Why this pilgrimage?** It is easy to start well – and harder to keep going. Not because the way becomes impossible, but because attention drifts, motivation fades, and the next distraction is always close. This pilgrimage is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with nature, and reflect on life’s important questions. We’ll walk at a relaxed pace, share thoughts, and take time for moments of silence – about 30 minutes to an hour *–* to listen to nature and our inner voices. 🔔 **What to know & bring** * Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy walking or hiking shoes. * Bring enough food and water for the whole day. * If you’d like to swim, bring swimwear and a towel. * Please remember your public transport ticket for arrival and departure. 📩 **Questions & Registration** If you have questions or need help with planning your trip, feel free to reach out. You’re also welcome to join our [WhatsApp group](https://www.alexander-steinfeldt.de/hikes/berlin-pilgrims/) for updates and connection before the hike. After crossing the Britz Canal, we’ll reach the former Sonnenallee border crossing. The trail continues through the green space along the Heidekampgraben towards Treptow-Kiefholzstraße. The former border, now marked by a double row of cobblestones, runs through a densely populated residential area to the former watchtower at Schlesischer Busch in Kreuzberg, where the hike ends. Since there are no guaranteed places to stop for refreshments along the way, please bring enough food and drinks for a picnic. **What’s Village Outdoor?** Village outdoor Events are monthly meetups for the we are village community and their friends to enjoy outdoor activities in and around Berlin. Activities include forest hikes, bike tours, swimming in lakes, sightseeing, and kayaking.
