Women’s Circle - Bodytalk
**Welcome, wonderful women,**
Our body is our first home, our lifelong companion from the very beginning of life to the very end. And yet, how often do we pause to really listen to her? To understand the subtle signals she sends, the wisdom she carries, and the stories she holds?
This circle\* is an invitation to reconnect with our body, to honour her, and to explore the messages she quietly communicates.
We will begin the space with a **gentle, nourishing somatic yoga**\*\* practice guided by Barbara, a yoga teacher with a deeply soft and intuitive approach. This is about slowly arriving in the body, opening, and sensing from within - all movements can be adapted, and you are very welcome to move in a way that honours your body, including if you are working with physical limitations.
From there, we will move into the circle, into reflection, sharing, and deeper listening.
Through gentle exercises, mindful awareness, and guided reflection, we will tune into the rhythms of our nervous system, begin to notice what our bodies are truly communicating, and reconnect with the intelligence that lives within us.
**What to expect:**
\- A soft somatic opening with an experienced facilitator
\- Exploration of how your body speaks to you
\- Reflection and sharing in a safe\, expansive circle
\- Connection in supportive sisterhood
Whether you are curious, seeking alignment, or simply longing for a deeper relationship with yourself, you are welcome exactly as you are.
This is a space where nothing needs to be performed or fixed.
A space where your body is not judged, but met.
A space where your experience is welcome.
**Suggested contribution:**
£25\*\*\* Please give what feels aligned with your circumstances.
Advance-booking recommended.
**Practical information:**
Dress comfortably.
Journals welcome.
Mums with babes in arms (up to 6 months) are welcome.
Come home to yourself.
Come meet your body as your truest companion.
Come soften, open, and listen - together.
We can’t wait to hold this space with you ✨
*If you have any questions about the space, you’re very welcome to reach out.*
*\*These Women’s Circle events are intentionally created for cisgender women.*
*\*\*Somatic yoga, grounded in gentle awareness and slow, exploratory movement, invites a feminine, receptive approach that honours intuition and inner sensing. It fosters deep mind–body attunement, supporting emotional release and greater bodily resilience through curiosity and compassionate attention.*
*Yoga teacher: Barbara Heck*
*[be-unique-yoga.co.uk](https://be-unique-yoga.co.uk "https://be-unique-yoga.co.uk")*
*\*\*\*It is at the centre of my heart to make these spaces available to all women; hence, the event is donation-based, with a suggested contribution of £25 to help cover the costs. If you're able to contribute, please consider the suggested donation amount. However, please know your presence is most valuable. Additionally, if you're in a position to support another Sister's participation, I encourage you to pay it forward. Your kindness can make a meaningful difference in someone else's experience. Thank you for your support and generosity. Together, we can create a space where all sisters feel welcomed and supported.*
🏘️Offline Women Explore Pretty London: Notting Hill
Join us for our series where **Offline Women Explore Pretty London**, visiting different neighbourhoods to enjoy the most charming pockets of our city only through our eyes.
The first walk in this series will be through **Notting Hill**. I am not a tour guide and this is not a formal trek. The idea is to wander and see what gems we can find together.
We will look for those secluded mews, undiscovered cafés, tree-lined streets, artisan bakeries, and bookshops that allow you to escape in a huge capital city like London.
To keep things truly offline, this is a phone-free and photo-free walk. We live in the most photographed city in the world, but we often miss the soul of it because we are busy framing the shot.
We ask everyone to keep their phones tucked away for the whole walk. It is a bit of a rebellious way to explore London, but let’s see how much more we notice when we are fully present for these quiet and gentle moments.
There is no set agenda, just good conversation and nice streets. Whether you are a London local or just moved here, come along and wander with us. Just remember to wear comfortable shoes and leave the digital world behind for a couple of hours.
This series is inspired by the book [prettycitylondon](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/35888470-prettycitylondon).
Good Slut—Conversation & Book Signing With Author Zoe Strimpel
If an alien landed in Britain of 2026, it might well conclude that things have never been worse for women. That to be a woman in the neoliberal, post-sexual revolution West is just a vale of tears: bodily, emotionally, reproductively, and socially. Except, that's not at all the truth, is it?
In Good Slut, Zoe Strimpel argues the exact opposite, that things have never been better for women, and the fact that this is a taboo shows how far off the right piste we're going. She takes aim at what she sees as a culture of female victimhood, arguing instead that women in the modern West enjoy unprecedented freedom—socially, sexually, and economically. The book is a forceful defence of the sexual revolution and a call to embrace agency, ambition, and desire without apology. It argues for a proud promiscuity: not just sexual, but in all other things too.
This argument has sparked sharp disagreement. Critics have questioned whether Strimpel downplays the real costs of modern dating culture, from the effects of pornography and dating apps to the persistence of exploitation and dissatisfaction. Others argue that her dismissal of “victimhood” overlooks genuine problems—or that her vision of liberation risks collapsing into a defence of whatever currently exists.
Join us for a candid conversation on sex, freedom, and the deeper ideas at stake: what does genuine independence actually require—and is modern culture helping us achieve it, or standing in the way?

Wine Not? (Women Only)
Wine Not? is a women-only gathering before the Balancers Saturday social.
Most attendees come solo, so it’s an easy and welcoming place to meet people and settle in before the night gets busier.
London can make meeting new people feel awkward, especially if you're coming alone. This early social creates a comfortable environment where you can chat, laugh, and get to know a few friendly faces first.
Expect a relaxed atmosphere, a few light games, and plenty of time to connect naturally.
At **7.30 pm the main Balancers social begins**, and the room fills as over **150 people usually join the night**.
Wine Not? naturally flows into the rest of the evening, so you’re welcome to stay and enjoy the full experience.
Coming solo is completely normal. Our hosts will be there to help everyone feel comfortable, included, and connected from the start.

Recruiting Virtual Mental Health Group Leaders!
We are recruiting new group leaders for virtual men's groups! Our primary groups are outdoor movement groups, but we are launching virtual groups for the state of Ohio and beyond and the groups will move outside in the spring, creating room for men's groups, women's groups and coed groups all over the country.
Read below to learn about our groups and click the links at the bottom to apply.
### **What is an Outdoor Empowerment Group?**
Our Outdoor Movement & Community Empowerment Groups are simple, guided experiences designed to help people reconnect with nature, themselves, and others. We combine some form of movement (hike, walk, run, bike, yoga, workout) and meaningful conversation within a simple community circle to create a space where individuals can support each other while prioritizing mental and physical well-being.
Whether you’re seeking stress relief, personal growth, or community, our groups offer everyone a unique and welcoming environment.
## **Why Join?**
* **Improve Mental & Physical Well-Being** – Movement, nature, and supportive conversations reduce stress and promote balance.
* **Feel Less Alone** – Build genuine connections with like-minded people in a safe, welcoming space.
* **Gain Clarity & Perspective** – Step outside daily routines and into a space designed for personal growth and reflection.
## **The Ideal Group Leader**
The ideal group leader
* Has a born-in passion for mental health, movement, connecting with nature and building community.
* Has 5 extra hours per week to dedicate to a meaningful cause for at least one year. Yes, you can leave any organization at any time and we can also ask you to leave, but we are building with legacy in mind and we need people who can commit and be ALL IN on this mission to build with us.
* Is independently financially stable with the ability to volunteer with no expectation of pay. This is a deeply beautiful journey of service that all participants commit to at Speak Your Mind.
* An ability to manage groups with high emotional intelligence and desire for human connection.
* An ability to self-motivate and market/promote their group on Facebook and other social platforms.
* Nature informed therapy or clinical therapists/psychologists a plus.
## **Our Impact**

Since launching, we have helped thousands find support, connection, and healing through our Outdoor Movement Groups. 100% of participants surveyed have reported:
* A noticeable improvement in mental clarity and emotional well-being.
* An increase in social connection and a sense of belonging.
* Said they would return again.
We believe mental health should be accessible, community-driven, and rooted in nature. Join us and take the first step toward a more connected, grounded, and supported version of yourself.
### **Why Our Groups are Donation-Based**
Our Outdoor Movement Groups are made possible through a donation-based model. This approach allows us to keep our events accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, while also ensuring that we can continue expanding our reach. It’s a great way to pay it forward and support the growth of this beautiful mission!
Every contribution helps us:
* **Cover Essential Costs** – Donations allow us to pay essential legal, marketing, insurance, and admin costs as well as nourish the important people who run the organization.
* **Grow Our Mission** – With your support, we can bring these healing experiences to thousands more people in the future and execute our long term plan to expand across the USA, affecting up to 500,000 people per year.
By choosing to contribute, you’re not just leading an event—you’re helping build a mental health movement that supports long-term well-being and connection for all during a severe mental health epidemic.

The Story So Far: A WiA Reflection Circle
A WiA Collective Wisdom Exchange
At the start of this year, we gathered to look back, set intentions, and imagine the next chapter.
This is the follow-up.
Not a check-in. Not a progress report. A small, facilitated circle to reconnect with what you said mattered — and honestly explore what’s actually happening now.
Together, we’ll explore:
• What you intended at the start of this year - and what that looks like three months in
• What’s surprised you, supported you, or shifted
• What the next chapter needs now that you know what you know
If you were at our January gathering, bring whatever you made or wrote — your word, your artifact, your intention. We’ll look at it with fresh eyes. If this is your first time, you belong here too. You’ll start where we all started: with what’s true right now.
Optional art materials will be available for anyone who wants to reflect creatively alongside conversation. If you brought something home from January, you’re warmly invited to bring it back.
The intention is the same as always: everyone leaves feeling more clear, more connected, and a little lighter.
Space is intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate.
What to Expect
• A small, welcoming circle (not a large meetup)
• Structured conversation so everyone has space to speak
• Reflection, listening, and lived experience — not advice-giving
• Optional creative reflection alongside conversation
• A calm, supportive environment
Who This Is For
Women and underrepresented folks working in or around agile, product, technology, leadership, or organizational change — especially those looking for honest conversation and community beyond frameworks and buzzwords.
Good to Know
• No preparation required
• If you attended in January, we invite you to bring anything you created or wrote (or something that represents your intention at the start of the year) - it’s optional but invited
• Participation is invitational; listening is always welcome
• Creative activities are optional
Monthly Meet Up (Assassin’s Apprentice)
This month we’ll be reading Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb. Feel free to come even if you don’t finish the book!
