Think ivy-draped goddesses, mischievous nymphs, ethereal fairies, and butterflies taking flight. Over 9 weeks, students will create and refine their choreography with the support of a coach while adding performative elements to bring their routine to life. Followed by 4 weeks of rehearsal in the performance space. The series culminates in a live showcase at ON St. Elmo on Friday, 5/8, for friends, family, and community. Students will explore: * Choosing music that enhances their style and storytelling * Building a character and express it through movement * Adding creativity, musicality, and nuance to choreography * Growing in a supportive environment that celebrates artistry and cheers on every performer Prerequisite: Participation in a previous youth aerial dance series. If you are completely new to climbing, you are welcome to come and try it with us after you take the Introduction to Rope Climbing Course which will be free of charge for you if you let me know. This meetup is free and run by volunteer organizers, however, access to Movement gyms requires a membership or purchase of a day pass. ## Details Hello everyone! We climb at Crystal City Movement every Wednesday. Please read rest of the description carefully. We mostly do tope rope climbing but we can arrange bouldering sessions as well. If you prefer lead climbing please post on the comments to find your belay partner. \#\# Requirements * If you are not a Movement member, you'll get a daily pass. If you are totally new to climbing and want to do top rope, then you have to have a belay certificate. Advanced variations are taught along with modifications. Each session is anchored by a thoughtful theme inspired by yoga philosophy (sutras), providing a deeper theme for reflection and self-growth. Whether you’re looking to deepen your practice, challenge yourself, or simply find a community of like-minded individuals, this class is designed to empower and inspire. Expect a dynamic and playful class that encourages both individual exploration and a sense of connection with others. This practice will leave you feeling refreshed, centered, and connected. The session is offered InStudio and OnLine. The Zoom link for the OnLine session will be emailed 15 minutes before class starts to those who are registered at www.piesfitnessyoga.com. **Sign up for sessions must be made at least 2 hours prior to class.** The address is 1322 Prince St. Alexandria, VA 22314.
