Sketch & Chill 🎨🌿 (TBC🌤️)
Sketch & Chill 🎨🌿 (TBC🌤️)
What’s up Friends! 👋 If the weather behaves, we’re going for a chill drawing meetup: good vibes, new people, sketching side by side ✨ 📍 Where We meet at Park Cinquantenaire, in front of the "Tour de Tournai" 🏰 (the tiny castle-looking thingy). From there, we’ll pick a spot that feels right - usually somewhere outdoors 🌿 Can’t find us? 🤷🏻 Ping me here. 💡 The Idea Simple: we sit, we draw, we chat. No teacher, no pressure. Just people sketching next to each other and sharing tips if it happens naturally. Bring whatever you like: notebook + pen ✏️ or full watercolor chaos 🎨💦 All styles, all levels welcome. Don't forget to dress for the weather (we’re usually outside) and bring something to sit on - blanket, mat, foldable chair… whatever keeps you comfy. ⏱️ Timing We start at 14:00. Stay as long as you like. Joining later? Drop a message in the chat in case we’ve moved 😊 Once the sketches are done (or we need a break), we might grab a drink if we feel like it. 💸 Price Free. Just show up and draw. 🚦 On the waitlist but really want to join? Or got questions? DM me. 📢 Extra info might drop in the group chat or via DM 💬 Check your messages the day before so you don’t miss anything important 👀 🐈‍⬛ The Friends Code: 👉 Draw what you want, how you want - no judgement 👉 Sharing tips = welcome, not expected 👉 Small groups = chill vibes 👉 Got cool materials? Bring them, flex them 👉 Keep your valuables close — it’s easy to get carried away 👉 Can’t make it? Cancel in time so someone else can join 👉 Don't show up if you are on the waitlist See you there 😉
Neurodiverse Minds & Matters (ADHD/Autism +): Picnic edition!!!
Neurodiverse Minds & Matters (ADHD/Autism +): Picnic edition!!!
**What to expect** This is a special event where we will meet to have a picnic in the park! We will sit in the grass to eat our packed lunch, chat and play games. This is an informal hangout and will not be structured. Bringing things to share with others is not necessary, but is certainly welcome. Inside Hal5 there is a pizzeria, and a Mediterranean food stall if you prefer to get food from there. There is also a bathroom. You can bring your own games. I’m bringing kubb and telestrations. Some sensible things to think about bringing: a blanket to sit on, a warm jumper, water, sunscreen, sunglasses **For Who?** Neurodiverse adults (18+) A formal diagnosis is not necessary. This event is open to anyone who can relate to the difficulties and experiences of being neurodivergent, or is trying to figure things out. Neurodivergence includes but is not limited to autism, ADHD, HS, OCD, BPD etc.

Spiritual Hike 24km - Satsang & Deep Tea
A Walk Between Worlds: Villers-la-Ville to Genval 25km with Alan Watts We’re walking 24km from the abbey ruins of Villers-la-Ville back to Genval, with a reading of Alan Watts along the way. The reading takes the form of a Satsang and Jnana yoga, an invitation to sit with the words, let them resonate, and share what arises in us as we walk together. The day 09:20 Departure from La Hulpe station, train to Ottignies, then connection to Villers-la-Ville or from Brussels 09:56 Departure from Bruxelles-Luxembourg (Train IC13609 to Namur) 10:23 Meeting up at Ottignies for the train to Villers-la-Ville (Train S61 4560 to Jambes) 10:40 Arrival in Villers-la-Ville, walk begins 13:00 Lunch break along the route ~17:00 Arrival in Genval After the walk, you're welcome to come to stop by my place for tea while waiting for the bus (bus stop in front of the house), and to let the conversation continue. The walk is long but the pace is contemplative, we’re not racing, we’re listening.
Day-off session: Multiple games
Day-off session: Multiple games
1st May is a holiday ! So why not having a full afternoon of gaming there on that day ? If you feel likewise, then join this event! Unlike most of our events, this is a more improvised one : some attendees bring their games, and we decide on the spot what we'll play. You may also post your ideas of what you want to bring/play in the comments, to gauge interest among the participants. Outpost opens at 11:30, so you may come from that time, but you can also come a bit later if you wish. Because it's Friday, we'll need to vacate the place towards 6 or 7 PM. **Please RSVP to this event if you wish to come**. Do not come without having done so. It makes it easier to plan that way. Although you can arrive at any time, **please post your estimated time of arrival in the comments**. It will make it easier to organise the tables that way. **Don't forget to unsubscribe from the event if you aren't able to come.** Someone else might take your place in that case. Don't block it if you don't come.

How to live a good life, your favorite Substacks, your new hobby, the art of living slowly, ideas you are processing, coffee places you recently found, music records you bought, essays you read or wrote, meals you made, clothes you thrifted, movies you watched, and the music you heard. A community for intellectually curious, friendly and present people who want to share and exchange what make them think, reflect, grow and make them a better person. To kickstart a discussion you are encouraged (but not obliged) to read a selected essay. For the first meeting we are reading Henrik Karlsson's "Looking for Alice". https://www.henrikkarlsson.xyz/p/looking-for-alice You don't have to read any book to participate, but come with ideas or thoughts that occupy your mind.

Spirit Walk - Oud-Heverlee (13,4km) - Glorious hills and fish watching
Spirit Walk - Oud-Heverlee (13,4km) - Glorious hills and fish watching
Spirit Walks are unique nature hikes meant to lift up anyone's spirit, in a friendly, meaningful and even partially therapeutic way. It's usually a lot of fun, since we value authentic connection, share a healthy lunch, keep a positive/dynamic mindset, while maintaining safe, vulnerable space for whatever wants to come in the moment. We value an adventurous spirit, creativity, deep connection and authenticity. In a spontaneous way, it could happen that we stop and learn about a medicinal plant, do a somatic (stretch) exercise, do a silent meditation, an authentic relating game or a creative expression, all with the goal of coming back to ourselves, reconnect with others and get absorbed by the wonderful and powerful healing aspects of our surrounding nature. As a experienced trauma- and burn-out therapist, Ken knows very well how to create a feel-good, nurturing and healing atmosphere in a natural, unassuming way. It can bring back joy and energy in someone's life. You'll never feel alone. For this particular hike, we will experience the wonderful nature reserve the 'Doode Beemde' and its beautiful surroundings, starting and coming back at Oud-Heverlee station. It's nto a very difficult hike, nothing to stress about, it's around 13km. There's a few communication guidelines to keep in the back of your minds during our hikes: This is supposed to be inclusive, fun & a bit adventurous. We love some deep talks, but try to avoid any polarizing topics, gossip and complaining. Be respectful to each others' viewpoints and try not to judge too openly. We should be able to get back at the station around 16h45h approx. I'm personally going by car, if others of you have space in their car, please propose your free seats in the comment section of this hike. You're responsible for your own safety and well-being down the road. In case something happens (you get lost, you can't proceed,...), we will do our common best to find a solution, but don't expect the whole group to become dependent. Take care and see you soon! Ken

I message everyone on the waiting list on Friday. * **Please, move to "not going" AS SOON AS you know that you can't come anymore, that includes everyone who is on the waiting list.** **IMPORTANT:** * When you register yourself, be careful not to register accidentally a +1 guest (unless you bring a guest). It happens very often. * If you have any questions then, message me. *** **A MESSAGE FOR NEWCOMERS:** *In the first three years of hosting this coffee group, I have met many people who struggle with anxieties when coming to an event for the first time. Sometimes, it took them more than one attempt before being able to join.* *Occasionally, people reach out to me before the event, and I have always been grateful for that as it offers the opportunity to communicate with each other and to find the best and most gentle way for that person to join the group.* *I would like to encourage everyone who struggles with this to contact me before. It would really be too bad if you can't join us, as it mostly gets better the second or third time you come.* *In addition to that, if you arrive and notice any signs of nervousness or fear, you can always let me know right then.* **THANK YOU AND SEE YOU ALL ON SATURDAY!** **LOCATION:** Château Moderne Mont des Arts 1 1000 Bruxelles

Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit. Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times. Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have. Happy writing!
