Yoga Asana (exercises, postures, relaxation)
Yoga Asana (exercises, postures, relaxation)
These classes are gentle and effective for everyone, regardless of age, physical condition, or experience. They include breathing, alignment, balance, strengthening, toning, stretching, relaxation, and meditation. RSVP is required: through Meetup or by email, text, or phone (see below). Bring: A mat; a thick towel, blanket, or rug; and water. Clothing: Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. Wear layers when it's cold so that you can adjust your clothing as you warm up and cool down. Please refrain from wearing perfume and other fragrances. Cost: No charge. Donations are gratefully accepted! Click [here](http://yogameditationgroup.org/donations/) for ways to donate. Location: Yoga Meditation Group, 13740 Research Blvd., Bldg T, Unit 3, Austin, 78750 Yoga Asana is the physical practice of yoga that includes exercises, breathing, and relaxation. The purpose of Yoga Asana isn't fitness. It is, in part, to take care of the body as our vehicle; and although this may include fitness, it should never be defined by it. Yoga Asana practice gives us the opportunity to become aware of the body and the life force within the body, helping us to experience that we are not the body but rather the eternal being within the body who needs fulfillment on a level that the body cannot satisfy. This experience can then lead us to the deeper yoga practices, which are centered around meditation (the heart of yoga) and spiritual inquiry about our eternal identity and purpose. All of our meditation classes are free and are listed here on Meetup. Let us know if you have any questions. Namaste. NOTE: We do not require masks. We believe it is important to be able to breathe freely while practicing yoga asana and meditation. If you are not comfortable with this, we have links we can send you that may be helpful in practicing at home. YogaMeditationGroup.org info@YogaMeditationGroup.org (512) 774-4964

Celebrate Our Groups 2 Year Anniversary at Whitestone Brewery WITHOUT Crawfish!
Celebrate Our Groups 2 Year Anniversary at Whitestone Brewery WITHOUT Crawfish!
**Come join us as we celebrate our very successful 2nd year as a group!** We will gather on the patio of Whitestone Brewery around 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 25th. We will socialize for a little while as the team finishes preparing the crawfish. At 2:30, we will share a moment of gratitude for the friendships and connections that we have fostered during our first year together. After that we will eat, drink, and socialize...what we do best! **Please note there are 2 events for the same celebration**. The event you are reading about now is for those who do NOT want crawfish. For those not eating crawfish, I encourage you to come and enjoy some great pizza from 600 degree pizza that is collocated with Whitestone Brewery! If you want to attend the celebration and enjoy some crawfish, you can sign up for the event that has the same title but **WITH crawfish**. Please reach out to anyone you connected with through this group and encourage them to come celebrate with us. And, if you haven't joined us for an event yet, this will be fantastic opportunity to make some great new friends! I hope to see you there, Mike

The Story So Far: A WiA Reflection Circle
The Story So Far: A WiA Reflection Circle
A WiA Collective Wisdom Exchange At the start of this year, we gathered to look back, set intentions, and imagine the next chapter. This is the follow-up. Not a check-in. Not a progress report. A small, facilitated circle to reconnect with what you said mattered — and honestly explore what’s actually happening now. Together, we’ll explore: • What you intended at the start of this year - and what that looks like three months in • What’s surprised you, supported you, or shifted • What the next chapter needs now that you know what you know If you were at our January gathering, bring whatever you made or wrote — your word, your artifact, your intention. We’ll look at it with fresh eyes. If this is your first time, you belong here too. You’ll start where we all started: with what’s true right now. Optional art materials will be available for anyone who wants to reflect creatively alongside conversation. If you brought something home from January, you’re warmly invited to bring it back. The intention is the same as always: everyone leaves feeling more clear, more connected, and a little lighter. Space is intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate. What to Expect • A small, welcoming circle (not a large meetup) • Structured conversation so everyone has space to speak • Reflection, listening, and lived experience — not advice-giving • Optional creative reflection alongside conversation • A calm, supportive environment Who This Is For Women and underrepresented folks working in or around agile, product, technology, leadership, or organizational change — especially those looking for honest conversation and community beyond frameworks and buzzwords. Good to Know • No preparation required • If you attended in January, we invite you to bring anything you created or wrote (or something that represents your intention at the start of the year) - it’s optional but invited • Participation is invitational; listening is always welcome • Creative activities are optional
