The BD & NL Challenge will connect up the great trails of Beaver Dam and New Light to create one of the most unique mountain bike endurance races ever held in the Triangle.
The race will be staged from the parking lot in Beaver Dam nearest to the trail head. Racers will ride Beaver Dam's Outer Loop and West Loop in a counterclockwise directions. Racers will exit the park and ride over to New Light for a lap in a counterclockwise direction. Racers will return to Beaver Dam to ride the South Loop.
Total distance is roughly 33 miles of which a mere 12 is road.

Registration and payment must be made online via Meetup. (Beaver Dam is a State Park and we are prohibited from collecting entrance fees on race day.) In other words, there will be no race day sign up. We will only be handing out numbers and collecting waivers from pre-registered, pre-paid riders on the morning of the event. There will be no exceptions.
All racers MUST burn a red tail light while on the road section of the course.
Racers must demonstrate they have a working red tail light at registration.
All racers must follow all traffic regulations while on the road section of the course. (There will be NO traffic control.)
All dogs must be leashed at all times.
Portable music (MP3, IPOD, Smart Phone, etc.) players are forbidden.
