Type of ride: All skills, no drop

Speed: expect to average about 5mph, depending on the group. No one will be dropped.

    Distance: between 7-10 miles

Time spent riding: 1.5 - 2 hours (longer depending on the group)

Difficulty: Lake Crabtree is one of the easiest trails to ride with ride arounds for all obstacles.

Details: No-drop ride for ALL Skill Levels / Riders. Looking for a nice, slow, low-pressure group
ride as you work your way back into shape after a layoff, or as you get started with MTB'ing?
Here ya go.. We'll meet at the Old Reedy Creek Rd. entrance, by the bench, Saturday mornings at 10:30am. We'll ride a big chunk of the LCCP trails, depending on how people feel. No one will be left behind (not for long anyway), we'll stop and rest as often as people need, and generally have a good time, get some exercise, and enjoy ourselves.

    Weather permitting, of course.

Call or email Phil at[masked] or [masked] for more details or if you have
trouble finding us. I'll be the guy in a blue Ford Expedition, riding a brown Specialized Hard Rock.

Lake Crabtree County Park is a great location for rides. Expect easy to slightly moderate elevation changes. All trail obstacles have ride a rounds. Pace will be dependent on the experience and skill levels of the attendees, but I'm expecting an average speed of probably 5mph or so.

You MUST wear a helmet while riding on the trails. Make sure you have plenty of water.

If you love mountain biking and care about the environment, you belong with IMBA. That's because supporting IMBA is the most effective way for you to build, maintain and open the trails you love to ride.

Why don't we meet anyway and hit the gravel greenway crap at Umstead? Just a thought.

I'm fine with doing that in general, but I'm not interested in riding if it's still raining. WRAL makes it sound like it is supposed to rain until about 2:00 or so. If it stops earlier, or if you want to ride after that, I'd be up for some Umstead riding.
