Triangle Off-Road Cyclists (TORC) is a nonprofit dedicated to advocating for trails and building and maintaining trails across the Triangle.
TORC is the Triangle area chapter of the larger regional Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA). When join TORC you're automatically joining SORBA and you're supporting both the Triangle but also trails across the Southeast.

We schedule trail workdays throughout the year to build new trail or maintain existing trails. These workdays offer volunteers the opportunity to invest into our trail designs and for land owners to benefit from our sustainable approach.

Carolina North Forest Gravel + Gab
Back Alley Bikes, 100 Boyd St, Carrboro, NC, US- Title: Carolina North Forest Gravel + Gab
- Intended audience: The gravel curious to the gravel enthusiast. This is a beginner-level, no-drop ride from Back Alley Bikes over to the approachable gravel roads in Carolina North Forest. Riders with gravel experience are welcome, but we will prioritize good vibes and comfortable group riding over speed and intensity.
- Distance: 17.3 miles (route)
- Pace: 10-12 mph and conversational
- Duration: About 2.5 hours
- Meet @8:45am, Wheels rolling @ 9am
- No-drop (no one is left behind)
- Helmets are required
- Other attire: Attire is good, yes, and whatever floats your boat. Some of us ride in boots, some clip in. Dress for the weather/conditions.
- Water bottle/pack, mini-tool, spare tube/tubeless supplies, and pump/CO2 highly recommended.
- No headphones or other distractions
- Optional coffee and pastries after the ride at Even Dough Bakery (subject to change day-of)

Annual Spring Camp Trip - The Other Pisgah
Mortimer USFS Campground, Hwy 90, Edgemont, NC, USWith Davidson River Campground being closed for renovations, we are going to the "other" Pisgah and riding the Wilson Creek area trails.
TORC has reserved 4 camp sites at Mortimer campground. The campground is right in the middle of a large trail network so we will be riding from the campground. The campground also has toilets and hot showers.
These trails are super conducive to shuttling, we are currently planning on shuttling a few of the rides.Everyone that signs up needs to have an active TORC membership to participate.

Schedule: (subject to change - more details to come)
Friday - Beehive/Sinkhole loop. Beehive considered a black diamond and technical. ~15 mile loop. Meet at the parking at the end of Sinkhole at 3pm.
Saturday - Ride from Campground in the morning - first loop is Yancey - full loop is about 16 miles back to Campground
Second loop will be shuttle to the top of Wilson, ride Woodruff down. Shuttle back to the top of Wilson Ridge and School House ride back to the campground. With the shuttle this is 7 miles of downhill with only 300' of climbing
Sunday - Either re-ride the favorites from Saturday or hit Warrior Creek on the way out

About TORC:
Did you know that being part of the TORC Meetup group is not membership in TORC? To become a member simply sign up HERE.
An individual basic membership is only $39 and you will receive both a membership with TORC and a membership with SORBA. Membership helps to finance trail building and maintenance, and rewards you with discounts on TORC races and at many of the local bike shops.
