Peeps & Eats: A Plant-Based Picnic with Yoga to support Wishing Well Sanctuary!
Hosted by Beverly Carey, Jenny Cooperman, Saad Khan and Viren Parmar Weather has cooled down this month but its still warm enough for some food and yoga. Maybe we will get lucky and have another heat wave like we had at our last 2 events. Before it gets too cold, let's have one last outdoor potluck and yoga. Feel free to bring frisbee’s, yoga mats, guitars and all your animal friends!!! Make sure to bring a vegan dish-to-share* and in order to limit waste, please bring your own plates and utensils. Please also feel free to spread the word by inviting any other vegan folks, curious-about-vegan-folks, vegan-allies, plant-based food lovers, and other nice peeps!! ******Allergy Alert****** *Please include an ingredient list, so people with allergies can make good life choices. ****************************************************************** Want a way to soak up the park’s beautiful surroundings and August energy while doing something to help the animals at the same time? Join us at the beginning of the picnic around 2pm for a beginner friendly and donation based yoga class. 100% of all proceeds will be donated to the Wishing Well Sanctuary. The Wishing Well Sanctuary is a forever home to 69 farm animals located in Bradford, ON. The sanctuary is non-profit, and they focus year-round on rehabilitation and protection of animals from different rescue situations. If you haven’t visited yet, I highly recommend you check them out! They offer tours where you can meet and interact with the resident animals (if they so please), and they host a whole lot of other events during the fair weather months. http://www.wishingwellsanctuary.org/ Yoga Instructor Bio: My name is Jenny and I have been practicing different styles of yoga for 13+ years. I recently deepened my practice and became a certified Hatha yoga instructor. I love combining my love for animals, health and wellness through yoga and eating healthy and vegan. *******Some quick notes****** You can bring a Yoga mat if you have one, but practicing in the grass can be just as fun. This class is entirely beginner friendly and caters to people with any level of experience and to people of all fitness levels. Participation in the yoga class is 100% donation based, so give as you please! The suggested donation amount is $10.
