Join us on a scenic trail though the woods and pastures of the beautiful Eden Valley in Kent. Starting in the historic village of Edenbridge with its medieval timber buildings, our adventure will take us east across picturesque meadows downstream on our way to the mysterious Chiding Stone. A naturally occurring rocky outcrop, the stone was once used as a boundary marker for an ancient tribe that held forth in the valley.
Owned entirely by the National Trust, the surrounding settlement of Chiddingstone has been described as a "perfect surviving example of a Tudor village". The beauty of the area is such that it has been used as a location for films including A Room with a View with Helena Bonham-Carter and the Monty Python team's Wind in the Willows.
Passing across the neighbouring gentle hills we shall head into an alluring mix woods and fields to the south. There we shall encounter the rolling lands of the Boleyn family whose most famous daughter, Anne, married Henry VIII and helped spark the Reformation that changed England forever.
