# Overview
Travel back to the Tang and Song Dynasties and explore Chinese tea culture through history, philosophy, brewing lessons, and hands-on activities. Guided by tea and culture enthusiast Xinyi, you’ll step into ancient times to discover how philosophy and cultural values shaped the way people brewed and enjoyed tea.
During this workshop, you’ll enjoy two guided tea tastings — Jasmine green tea and Ba Bao Cha. As you brew Ba Bao Cha, you’ll explore a curated selection of medicinal herbs such as lavender, chrysanthemum, red dates, and more, and learn how these flowers and fruits have traditionally been used in tea blending. You’ll also receive reference cards to help you recreate your personalized Ba Bao Cha blend at home.
You will leave with a selection of tea, a deeper sense of how classic botanicals can support a nourishing lifestyle, and an appreciation of the artistry behind Chinese tea culture—its flavors, its philosophy, and its timeless rituals.
