E-STEAM Playtime - Music & Dance - First Fridays, Five Points Jazz

Details

Music and Dance is the first language of our very souls. From the first moment of our conception, the rhythm and movement of our life's beginnings, began guiding our journey to the joy of being fully alive!

Friday, October 3, 2025, we're beginning our 2nd annual October celebrations of Co-Creativity with Air, with E-STEAM Playtime, with music and dance.

For the next three years, you're invited to practice co-creativity toward the E-STEAM Love channel's 2028 celebration of our collaborative Meetup group's 20-year anniversary. From 2008 to 2028, the TTWalks (Topic-Talk Walks) Meetup group is continuing to evolve together, with the Museum Muser and Beckwourth Doers groups on Meetup.

The goal of our October celebration activities is to invite the general public of all ages, to become a co-creative part of our E-STEAM Love channel's annual October Co-Creativity with Air celebrations.

For last year's first annual 2024 October celebrations, my husband Richard Rew and I (Fran Rew) co-produced a 4-minute video on the E-STEAM Love channel, titled "October Urban Celebrations of Co-Creativity with Air | Rooftop Farms and Gardens."

Just before the music and dance of the Five Points' First Friday Jazz begins at 5:30 pm, on the south side of the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library, Richard and I invite people of all ages to join us in E-STEAM Playtime edutainment activities, and our sponsored free SAME Cafe delicious signature cookies, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, in the Community Room of the Blair-Caldwell library. If you want more E-STEAM Playtime than only one-hour with us, keep watching our collaborative Meetup calendars for more October 2025 celebration activities with us, at other locations.

The Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library is located at 2402 Welton Street, Denver, Colorado. The irresistible dancing rhythms of the First Fridays Five Points Jazz will be played by the exhilarating funky rhythms of the Fedora Swing jazz band. You can bring chairs to sit in the Sonny Lawson Park, located on the south side of the Blair-Caldwell library, or stand and dance in the Charles Cousins Plaza, where the live band is playing, between the library and the park. The smooth sounds of the KUVO Jazz radio station announcer introducing the band comes as a partnership with the Curtis Park Neighborhood Association

My husband Richard and I will be giving away origami jumping frogs, with a QR-coded link on their backs, which links to our collaborative E-STEAM Love channel's 4-minute video "October Urban Celebrations of Co-Creativity with Air - Rooftop Farms and Gardens."

We'll also be carrying our Winston K. Walker E-STEAM traveling events bags. Each bag includes a small collection of our toys for interactive E-STEAM Playtime edutainment.

If you arrive early, we encourage you to visit the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library's Western Legacies, the gallery and exhibition space, which is on Level Three of the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library. The library will close at 5:00 pm.

I'm hoping that arriving early will enable us to get a parking space on this beautiful library's northwest side parking lot.If not, we're prepared for limited parking availability in the area, and we'll be considering the possibility of arriving by RTD light rail, by purchasing an all day ride-pass, from any RTD bus driver, light rail location, and/or Park 'n Ride.

Richard and I are looking forward to sharing some E-STEAM playtime with you, experiencing the many joyful ways each of us can intentionally be co-creative with Nature's gift of air, and our gifts to each other, of simply "showing up" for E-STEAM Playtime together.
