TTW - E-STEAM Playtime, One Sky One World International Kite Fly for Peace
Details
This is the 40th anniversary of the OSOW (One Sky One World International Kite Fly for Peace.
The loving presence of the OSOW Denver's leading organizer, Larry Ambrose, has been missed, since he died in 2022. Larry's wife, Jane Parker Ambrose, founded OSOW in 1985, by simply giving a gift of a kite to a women's conference in Moscow. That gift started the co-creativity ball rolling, for this annual 2nd Sunday of October event.
In 2008, Robin MacCracken encouraged Fran Rew, and Richard Rew, who were the co-organizers of the TTWalks (Topic-Talk Walks) group on Meetup, to include the OSOW kite flying event on their Meetup calendar. This was before Fran and Richard had added Museum Muser to their collaborative Meetup groups. Here's a link to TTWalks' 2008 OSOW large photo album, from that beautiful first Meetup invite to an OSOW.
E-STEAM Playtime's annual October calendar, for the full month of October's Co-Creativity with Air, Holly Humor Days, of E-STEAM Edutainment Partnerships (EEP), plans to include 2nd Sunday OSOW on their calendar for years to come.
This OSOW event on 18th and Meade Street, on the east side of Sloan's Lake, is from 11 am to 3 pm.
After this OSOW event, you are invited to joint your Meetup co-hosts Fran and Richard, to eat on the rooftop garden, of the Odell Brewing Sloan's Lake Brewhouse & Pizzeria, at 1625 Perry St, Denver, CO 80204.
Richard and Fran will be wearing their E-STEAM name tags, with their E-STEAM bags near them.
