UFO ≠ Aliens: Why Reporting Matters
For decades, the public has been conditioned to think “UFO = Aliens.” That mindset keeps credible sightings under-reported. This talk reframes UFOs as what they actually are — unidentified objects — and explains why removing the stigma matters. When people view UFOs this way, reporting increases, the quality of information improves, and that growing data set directly strengthens public knowledge and national security.
Jason Cvancara is a retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant with 26 years of service and a former Phoenix Police officer with 11 years of law enforcement experience. He now runs Zona Investigations, where he focuses on missing persons and sometimes dabbles in the the unexplained, which he calls the “ultimate investigation.” He also leads The 918 Files, a series of books, podcasts, and events exploring Arizona’s strangest mysteries.
