What we’re about
The Tulsa Outdoor Explorer's Group (TulsaOutdoorExplorers.com) is a community for anyone who loves getting outside, discovering new places, and connecting with nature (and each other!) We host a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, frisbee golf, fishing, mountain biking, and cycling.
Whether you're an experienced adventurer or just looking to dip your toes into the outdoors, you'll find a welcoming group of people who enjoy exploring, staying active, and having fun. Our events range from relaxed weekend outings to more challenging excursions, so there's always something for every skill level and interest.
Join us to discover new trails, share great conversations around the campfire, paddle peaceful waters, or simply enjoy fresh air with like-minded explorers. Let’s get outside, make new friends, and experience the natural beauty around Tulsa together!
The group's Meetup platform fees are funded by member and outside donations! Donations can be made via Pledge Donations on the Meetup platform, or from Venmo and CashApp donations collected at donate.tulsaoutdoorexplorers.com! We suggest a $5 yearly donation from those who regularly attend, enjoy, and find value in our events!
We look forward to seeing you at our events soon!

Redbud Valley Nature Preserve Hike (Special Event)
16150 Redbud Dr, Catoosa, Ok, USAlright everyone I am really excited about this event. The Redbud Valley Nature Preserve is one of my most favorite places to visit... I used to go hiking here many times every year since I was a little kid!
Unfortunately, during COVID the park became too popular and suffered damage from the visitors and since it is legally a Nature Preserve they permanently shut Redbud Valley down with the exception of every once in awhile they will open for special weekends to pre-registered guests.
I saw today that the last weekend in Nov will be one of these special openings and there is no way I can pass up visiting here, so let's make an event out of it!
Note: You *MUST* pre-register with Oxley Nature Center in order to attend! Make sure you select the Nov 30 Morning time period! Registration can be completed here: https://tulsaparks.recdesk.com/Community/Program/Detail?programId=2407. Tickets are by vehicle so please try to car pool if possible!
Note: The trails are somewhat rugged with walking up hill and through large rocks. Please keep in mind your activity level limits!
