What we're about

Our mission is to make Tulsa one of the greatest cities in the world for web developers.

Out meetups bring together technologists across a number of languages and disciplines. From back-end web coding in Python (http://www.meetup.com/TulsaPy-Tulsa-Python-Meetup/), Ruby (http://www.meetup.com/tulsarb/), or PHP (https://www.meetup.com/Tulsa-PHP/), to front-end web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (http://www.meetup.com/TulsaJS/), to web-related disciplines like Data Science (http://www.meetup.com/Tulsa-Data-Science-Meetup/) and Civic Hacking (http://www.meetup.com/Code-for-Tulsa/).

We want our meetups to be considerate, respectful, and collaborative. Please review our code of conduct (http://www.techlahoma.org/code-of-conduct/) before attending your first Tulsa WebDevs meetup.

Tulsa WebDevs Monthly Meetup

36°N

Be sure to RSVP and join us this month as we welcome Aaron Krauss from OKC! Aaron is a software engineer at Clevyr in Oklahoma City where he builds data-driven applications in Ruby, Javascript, Python, C#, and anything else awesome. He also just got married! His talk is titled "Prolog: A Prologue" ... Prolog is really powerful; it's a neat old language that's drastically different from just about any other language out there. With its declarative nature, Prolog will really challenge how you think about programming languages. For example, there are Sudoku solvers written using just 15 lines of Prolog! This is a very beginner-friendly talk about Prolog - no prior experience necessary. Even if you never use Prolog - this will really open your eyes to the capabilities of other language paradigms. Together, we'll learn about facts, rules, and queries in Prolog - the fundamental constructs that make up a Prolog script, and how you can use them to solve some real-world problems. Hope to see you there, and be sure to RSVP!
