Walking the SRT Extension

The Upstate Pathfinders Volkssport Club is a not-for-profit club providing interesting walks available daily, at your pace, in many different Greenville locations. The Upstate Pathfinders will conduct a 6 and 10K walk on the Swamp Rabbit Trail Green extension from Cleveland Park. The walk from the zoo lot will follow the trail south, pass the airport, over Haywood old RR bridge (where the 6K turns around), and to 8k turn at Verdae, the terminus of the current extension.

Start Point: Greenville zoo parking on the lower lot towards Washington St.

Registration: Regisiter between 9:30 and and 10:00. Walk with a group or on your own with a map and instructions. Group walks start shortly after 10:00. Cost is free for noncredit walkers and $3 donations are gladly accepted and greatly appreciated. Please bring exact change. For AVA / IVV credit the cost is $4 for walkers. The walk is sanctioned by and is eligible for AVA/IVV credit.

Safety: This is a bike trail also and we walk to the right. Depending on the heat index, please carry water. It is best to have water every time you walk,

Weather: The walk will be conducted rain or shine, dress appropriately.
