- Join the Upstate Pathfinders Meetup Group to see our planed events! Are you looking to improve your physical and mental well-being? Are you new to Greenville? Want to meet new people, make new friends, or simply looking for an easy, fun, social and healthy activity to get you, your children, your pet, and family members out of the house? Join us for our walks that you can do with the group or on your own. It is not a race - but a fun, social activity - We hope to see you!
- Who We Are: We are organized as the Upstate Pathfinders Volkssport Club, part of the America's Walking Club (aka American Volkssport Association). You don’t have to be an athlete to be a Volkssporter! We are a not-for-profit club managing 11 interesting walks in different locations throughout Greenville, SC area.
- Route: Our walk starts by passing the old Gravel pit, visiting the Major Anderson Memorial, and swing by old homes overlooking the Reedy. Then back towards Main Street. and the Farmers Market.
- Start Point: Start from the Lobby of the Springhill Suites, 200 E Washington, Greenville. Restrooms are available at the start,
- Registration: Register between 8:30 and 9:00. Walk with a group or on your own with turn-by-turn instructions. Group 5K walk starts very shortly after registration. The walk is free for participants and $3 donations are appreciated to offset insurance costs and Meetup Fees. Cost is $4 for participants who record walk events. Minors are free. Please bring exact change.
- Safety: Walk occurs regardless of the weather. Please carry water.
- Parking: There is parking on the street and in the Parking Garage at. 12 S. Spring St.
- The walk is sanctioned by America's Walking Club and eligible for IVV Credit.
