Furman Campus - A wonderful walk

Want to meet new people, make new friends, or simply looking for an easy, fun, social and healthy activity to get you, your children, your pet, and family members out of the house? Join us for our walks that you can do with the group or on your own. It is not a race - but a fun, social activity - We hope to see you!

Who We Are: We are organized as the Upstate Pathfinders Volkssport Club, part of the America's Walking Club (aka American Volkssport Association). You don’t have to be an athlete to be a Volkssporter! We are a not-for-profit club managing 11 interesting walks in different locations throughout Greenville, SC area.

Directions to Parking: Coordinates in Google maps and Apple Maps: 34.930322,-82.437164.

Driving Instructions: From Greenville take the US 276 (Palmetto Hwy) to Furman exit. Enter the campus and bear right at the circle. Go 1/4 around and turn right on Carl Kohrt Dr. next to the auditorium. Follow this past the student housing. Turn left at next left, Dale Garrett. Start will be ahead.

Start Point: Start at the Parking Lot at the corner of Dave Garrett Dr. and Carl Kohrt Dr. Restrooms are available.

Registration: Register between 8:30 and 9:00. Walk with the group or on your own with turn by turn instructions. Groups start very shortly after registration. The walk is free for noncredit participants and donations of about $3 are appreciated to offset insurance and Meetup fees. Cost is $4 for participants who record walk events. Minors are free. Please bring exact change.

Safety: Walk occurs regardless of the weather. Please carry water.

Parking: There is parking in the Furman lot at Dave Garrett.

The walk is sanctioned by America's Walking Club and eligible for IVV Credit.
