About us
Hello fellow Valley Jeepsters!!! Are you looking to have fun adventures with your Jeep? We are a group of family friendly off-road enthusiasts who love rock crawling, scenic desert drives, overlanding, camping and doing everything in between with a Jeep!
We run trails suitable for every type of Jeep, from leisurely desert drives to some of the most challenging trails we can find.
In addition to the local trails, we do 3-to-5-day trips around Arizona and beyond. Want to take your Jeep to the Rubicon Trail, Moab or perhaps the Black Bear Pass in Colorado? Want to ride all the cool Badge of Honor trails? Are you interested in Overlanding? Come join us then!
Although we are a laid-back group, there are couple of rules that you must abide by:
- Our group is for Jeep owners ONLY! Sorry, Bronco IS NOT a Jeep.
- You will be required to sign a liability waiver on the first run you do with us. Off-Roading, like all sports have inherent risks and dangers. All participants (on behalf of him or herself and his/her minor children) are responsible for their own safety during events, voluntarily accepts any and all risks of injury, harm, medical conditions, or property damage
- This is a family friendly group. As such, recreational shooting is not allowed while on the trail with us.
- Don’t drink & drive. Having a beer at lunch is OK. Getting wasted on the trails not only endangers you but everyone else around you.
- Getting a flat tire on the trail is very common! Make sure to always carry a spare.
- When on the trail always remember to T.R.E.A.D. Lightly
- Travel and recreate with minimal impact.
- Respect the environment and the rights of others.
- Educate yourself, plan and prepare before you go.
- Allow for future use of the outdoors, leave it better than you found it.
- Discover the rewards of responsible recreation.
If you can abide by the rules above, then click the join link and we’ll see you on the trail.

Turkey Creek Backwards
Gloriana Trailhead, Black Canyon Trail, Black Canyon City, AZ, USLet’s take our Jeeps off road for a fun filled day on a remote and challenging trail. On this Adventure we will conquer Turkey Creek. This trail, also referred to as “Dead Cow Gulch” by the ol’ timers, will take us over the foothills and through the Black Canyon. There are quiet a few creek crossings on this trail so we may even get our tires wet.
This trail is rated RED due to a short, 1 mile or so difficult and rocky section that will be slow going requiring careful tire placement. There is also one very sharp, narrow, difficult, and off camber turn that can be a challenge for novice off-roaders. I’ve done this trail at least half a dozen times by now and would still not attempt this turn without a spotter. Most important thing here is to follow directions from your spotter precisely or you could end up having a very bad day. There is a bypass that may or may not be open depending how much water is in the creek.
Upon completion of the trail, there will be an optional stop at the Cleator Bar to discuss the day over a few drinks and appetizers.
The trail can be conquered in a stock 2 door and 4 door Jeeps with off road tires. For Gladiators, 2.5-inch lift and 35’ tires are highly recommended. The trail is around 11 miles and should take us approximately 5 hours to complete if everything goes according to plan. We do not offer any guarantees, explicit or implied as to when we will return to the pavement 😊
Looking forward to seeing ya’ll on our next Adventure!

Anza-Borrego Overland Adventure Group #1
Agua Caliente County Park Campground, 39555 Great Southern Overland Stage Route of 1849, Julian, CA, USJoin us for an unforgettable Valley Jeepsters Adventure in the stunning Anza-Borrego Desert of California! We’ll be tackling scenic trails, exploring unique desert landscapes, and enjoying off-road camaraderie under wide-open skies. Whether you're a seasoned rock crawler or just looking to explore the backcountry with fellow Valley Jeepsters, this trip promises epic views, challenging terrain, and plenty of good times. Pack your gear, bring plenty of water, and let’s make some memories in one of SoCal’s most iconic off-road destinations!
Anza Borrego is phenomenal this time of the year. The scenery includes sandy washes, narrow canyons with steep walls, mud caves, and sweeping vistas. The average daytime temperatures are in mid-70’s, and the wildflower season is March-April. We’ll be traversing many sandy trails with a few moderately challenging obstacles.
If you are carrying, please make sure you familiarize yourself with all the related California laws pertaining to this subject!!!
The trails we’ll be traversing can be conquered in a stock Jeep with offroad tires.

There is limited food to be purchased near the campground and there are no restaurants. Bring firewood and groceries. We will be off-roading on Sunday during the day so it may make sense to make a reservation for Sunday night if you want to spend an extra night there. Anza Borrego Rock Crawling Adventure Group #2
Agua Caliente Campground, 39555 Great South Stage Route of 1849, Julian, CA, USCome join us for an amazing off-road Adventure in Anza Borrego! We have expanded attendee limit for this Adventure due to high level of participation and will be running two groups to accommodate every skill level. Group #1 Overlanding Adventure is fully booked but Group #2 ‘Rock Crawling Adventure” still has plenty of open slots for those looking for a challenge and a Badge Of Honor to add to your collection.
Group #2 will conquer level 5 and above. The group is limited to 10 Jeeps. We will run the trails below Friday and Saturday and will join Alan’s Group #1 on Sunday. To participate you will need at an absolute minimum; 35 inch tires, 2.5+ lift, rear locker and willingness to test your rigs capabilities and your own resolve. You will be rewarded with a Badge of Honor and a few scrapes and bumps along the way.
Friday: We will begin our adventure early morning meeting at 8:00 AM for prompt on-time departure to Pinyon Mountain Valley. You absolutely MUST have a full tank of gas before starting or you will be stranded! If you have spare gas can, bring it! Those of you running in a 392, spare gas can is a must. The trail itself is mostly a level 4 but two mandatory obstacles make it a level 6 to 7. The first one is “The Squeeze”. Per AI overlords’ description below: “This is a famous, extremely narrow, and technically challenging obstacle on the Pinyon Mountain Trail. Located between high rock faces, it requires skilled driving to navigate with only centimeters to spare, often necessitating a spotter, and is considered a badge-of-honor trail for 4x4 vehicle” Fenders and your tire rims most likely will be scratched going through it. On the plus side, this obstacle can only hurt your rig and not your life since there aren’t any major drop-off ledges nearby 😊 Also, to set you at ease, we had our club members in a Gladiator and a 392 conquering it in the past six months with “minimal” damage consisting of broken mirrors and tire rim scratches. Second obstacle is the Heart Attack Hill. It’s a steep short downhill. If you’ve done Telegraph Line or Widowmaker, this will be a non-issue for you. Not really that difficult, just more of a pucker factor for those new to off-roading. Expect 8 to 10 hour day from campsite and back to campsite so please plan accordingly! At the end of the day, you will proudly claim Badge of Honor for conquering it!

Youtube Video 2Saturday: Another long day starting at 8:00 AM. Same as the day before, please make sure your gas tank is full before starting this Adventure. Today we will conquer Los Pinos Mountain Loop. This is a level 4 blue trail. Few narrow and steep climbs but nothing too crazy. We will reach an elevation of 4,800 feet to enjoy phenomenal photogenic overlook spots. Heavy pinstriping is likely! This trail is expected to take about 4 hours. Towards the end of the trail and time permitting we will complete an optional one mile loop Sidewinder trail. This trail is short but it’s rock crawling obstacle after obstacle rated mandatory 6 to 7.
