Walk in Burnaby - Squint Lake Park - Burnaby Mountain

Choose between 10 km and 5 km routes.

Walkers will register (sign in) at the start point between 9:30 am and 9:55 am. The walk will start at 10 am sharp. Please be on time; we do not wait for latecomers.

Our walks are restricted to club members who have paid $15 for a 12-month membership. However, if you would like to try one or two walks before committing yourself to a paid membership, you do have that option. Please send an email to [vancouverventurers@gmail.com](mailto:vancouverventurers@gmail.com) stating that you would like more information. In the subject line of your email, write MEETUP.

Please note: Although the number of attendees indicated on this page may appear low, be assured that you will be walking with many club members who have not RSVP’d. We rarely have fewer than 15 participants at any of our walks.

Route Description:
A moderate uphill walk, with some steep sections, along urban trails and gravel paths, to the mountain via Burnaby Mountain Urban Trail, the Gnome’s Home and Pandora Trails. Find those gnomes! A reward waiting for you at the top – enjoy the panoramic views of downtown Vancouver, the North Shore mountains, Deep Cove and Indian Arm and the garden when the roses are blooming. Going downhill back to the start point will be a breeze.

Immediately following the walk, you may wish to join some of your fellow club members at the nearby lunch venue.

NOTE: Once you have RSVP’d, our Meetup site will always show your status as “Unpaid”. This is not a cause for concern. The $1.00 participation fee for the walk is paid at the start point and to save us some work, we will not be recording on Meetup that you have paid it.
