Details
*SO TIX ARE NOW SOLD OUT FOR THIS EVENT*. Cinematheque sell out every year as it's one of their most popular events.
I've closed the RSVPs.
For those who missed out, watch for other fun things we'll get up to this year.
***
Let's party at Cinematheque's annual Film Noir shindig again, then watch a gripping, sultry 1953 thriller, Niagara, starring Marilyn Monroe.
We'll enjoy vinyl jazz &, cold drinks(including boozy bevies) in Cinematheque's courtyard before the film. Catch up with meetup regulars, or come for the 1st time to check it all out. :)
6 pm Party, 645 pm Niagara film(90 mins, Eng) - More info/buy your ticket($15 or less) here: https://thecinematheque.ca/films/2026/niagara. Your ticket includes the party & film(we buy our own drinks. Sometimes they even have a special Noir craft brew). BUY YOUR TKT ASAP, THIS SOLD OUT LAST YEAR.
Cinematheque is a 10 min walk from Yaletown Canada Line station & one block from Granville St.
Marilyn Monroe and Joseph Cotten are a maniacally mismatched couple vacationing on the scenic Canadian(yay!) side of Niagara Falls in Henry Hathaway’s delectably tawdry noir brimming with dark deeds and “a raging torrent of emotion".
This stellar performance by 26 yr old Marilyn Monroe is considered her breakthrough role. Absolutely brilliant cinematography.

We'll be meeting up with Aled & friends from https://www.meetup.com/metro-vancouver-film-group/ there, so it'll be a great group of film-lovers!
Afterwards, we'll meet back in the courtyard to chat about the film.
Hope to see you there for some summer fun!
