What we’re about
Welcome to the MN Animal Rights/Vegan Meetup (previously named ‘Minneapolis Vegan Meetup’) sponsored by the Animal Rights Coalition (ARC)!
ARC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to end the suffering, abuse, and exploitation of non-human animals through information, education, and advocacy. This group was created to bring together the Minneapolis plant-based community and the animal rights community. We engage in both advocacy and social events to educate others about animal rights and veganism. Join us to advocate for animals at a peaceful protest, community outreach, leafleting, or Cuddle Coats Prep Session. Stop by our monthly volunteer meeting & potluck, dine outs, pop-ups or movie screenings to meet other vegans and like-minded people. All are welcome to attend ARC events! You do not need to be vegan or vegetarian or have previous experience advocating for animals. We hope to see you at an event soon!
Visit ARC’s official website.
For more volunteer opportunities, visit ARC’s Volunteer Network & sign up for our monthly volunteer email.
Programs of ARC:
- Vegan University: ARC’s program designed to help you go – and stay – vegan in a way that works for you! Vegan University offers free online Nutrition, Meal Planning, Eating Vegan on a Budget, and Help! I’m Going Vegan workshops, a free Vegan Mentor program, vegan grocery shopping tours, and local plant-based cooking classes. We’re here to help you get across that finish line in your transition to a plant-based diet!
 - VegKins: VegKins is ARC’s social networking program for families raising vegan children. This program offers the opportunity to come together to exchange ideas and information with other parents and build a community of parents raising compassionate kids.
 - Ethique Nouveau: ARC’s dual office space and vegan store, Ethique Nouveau, located in Minneapolis. Monthly volunteer meetings, Cuddle Coats Prep Sessions, movie screenings, and pop-ups are all held here!

Pet Store Protest
398 Northtown Dr NE, Blaine, MN, US𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡 𝗨𝗣 𝗧𝗢 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗥: https://dash.pointapp.org/events/448980
Join us for a peaceful protest against Four Paws and a Tail, on public property near Northtown Mall, 398 Northtown Drive NE, Blaine, Minnesota from 12:00 - 1:30 PM.
Meet us at the intersection of County Road 10 and Jefferson, on the grassy area in front of Chipotle, under the large red Cub Foods sign. You can park in the Chipotle lot or the large lot near Chipotle. Signs are provided but you're welcome to bring your own!
We oppose Four Paws and a Tail's business model of buying companion animals from large-scale, commercial breeding facilities and selling them to the public. We also oppose the idea that because a breeding facility is USDA licensed, it is also ethical.

Dine out at Namaste Cafe
Namaste Cafe, 2512 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN, USJoin Nick, one of the Animal Rights Coalition Dine Out hosts, for a dine out at Namaste Cafe! This is a great opportunity to meet like-minded folks and have a delicious meal while supporting restaurants with great vegan options.
Everyone is welcome! You do not need to be vegan to attend, but all items ordered need to be vegan.
Check out the menu here (look for V or CV after menu items for vegan options): Namaste Menu
Parking: Street parking is available
RSVP AGREEMENT:
Please make sure to keep your RSVP up to date and arrive on time. These dine outs often fill up fast with people added to the wait list. Please be fair to them so that they have a chance to see if they are able to attend. This is also important so that we can give restaurants an accurate number as they are often busy and holding spots for us which could have gone to other customers.
I will send a reminder to everyone 3 days before the dine out. Canceling within 24 hours of the dine out time or not showing up will both count as a strike (unless you were on the wait list and were added because someone dropped out within 24 hours). If you get 3 strikes in a year you won't be able to attend future dine outs.6 attendees
