What we’re about
Welcome to the MN Animal Rights/Vegan Meetup (previously named ‘Minneapolis Vegan Meetup’) sponsored by the Animal Rights Coalition (ARC)!
ARC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to end the suffering, abuse, and exploitation of non-human animals through information, education, and advocacy. This group was created to bring together the Minneapolis plant-based community and the animal rights community. We engage in both advocacy and social events to educate others about animal rights and veganism. Join us to advocate for animals at a peaceful protest, community outreach, leafleting, or Cuddle Coats Prep Session. Stop by our monthly volunteer meeting & potluck, dine outs, pop-ups or movie screenings to meet other vegans and like-minded people. All are welcome to attend ARC events! You do not need to be vegan or vegetarian or have previous experience advocating for animals. We hope to see you at an event soon!
Visit ARC’s official website.

We’re here to help you get across that finish line in your transition to a plant-based diet!

Join us for ARC’s Monthly Volunteer Meeting on Wednesday, June 18th for a lively discussion on advocacy strategies — featuring the book How to Argue with a Meat Eater!
Whether you’re brand new to outreach or a seasoned tabler, this session is for you. We’ll explore effective ways to connect with the public, build confidence in our communication, and practice real-life conversations with fellow advocates.
We’ll also dive into Ed Winters’ book, How to Argue with a Meat Eater, breaking down common challenges and sharing our best strategies for responding to tough questions.
Food and beverages will be provided! Feel free to bring a vegan dish to share if you're able.
Everyone is welcome — you don’t need to be vegan or vegetarian to attend. Just bring your curiosity, compassion, and willingness to learn!

- Vegan Nutrition WorkshopLink visible for attendees
Join Vegan University instructor Dave, who is certified in Plant Based Nutrition from Cornell University, and learn Vegan Nutrition 101. New material has been added on how to keep your immune system strong in a time where COVID - 19 is mostly striking down people with chronic diseases/compromised immune systems. Please bring your questions, a writing utensil and paper so you can take notes.
Scientific studies have also shown that strict vegan diets can prevent and often reverse heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, various auto-immune disorders and cancer. Dave will help you sort through the confusing and often conflicting nutrition advice in the media so you make better diet choices as you move forward on your plant-based journey.
All are welcome! You do not need to be vegan or vegetarian to attend ARC events.
