What we’re about
Welcome to the MN Animal Rights/Vegan Meetup (previously named ‘Minneapolis Vegan Meetup’) sponsored by the Animal Rights Coalition (ARC)!
ARC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to end the suffering, abuse, and exploitation of non-human animals through information, education, and advocacy. This group was created to bring together the Minneapolis plant-based community and the animal rights community. We engage in both advocacy and social events to educate others about animal rights and veganism. Join us to advocate for animals at a peaceful protest, community outreach, leafleting, or Cuddle Coats Prep Session. Stop by our monthly volunteer meeting & potluck, dine outs, pop-ups or movie screenings to meet other vegans and like-minded people. All are welcome to attend ARC events! You do not need to be vegan or vegetarian or have previous experience advocating for animals. We hope to see you at an event soon!
Visit ARC’s official website.

Vegan University offers free online Nutrition, Meal Planning, Eating Vegan on a Budget, and Help! We’re here to help you get across that finish line in your transition to a plant-based diet!

𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡 𝗨𝗣 𝗧𝗢 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧: https://dash.pointapp.org/events/333590
Join us for a peaceful protest against Four Paws and a Tail, on public property near Northtown Mall, 398 Northtown Drive NE, Blaine, Minnesota from 12:00 - 1:30 PM.
Meet us at the intersection of County Road 10 and Jefferson, on the grassy area in front of Chipotle, under the large red Cub Foods sign. You can park in the Chipotle lot or the large lot near Chipotle. Signs are provided but you're welcome to bring your own!
We oppose Four Paws and a Tail's business model of buying companion animals from large-scale, commercial breeding facilities and selling them to the public. We also oppose the idea that because a breeding facility is USDA licensed, it is also ethical. With the holiday season upon us, it's especially important to spread our message!

ARC is excited to participate in this year’s MayDay Parade, which happens to fall on International Respect for Chickens Day—a perfect opportunity to raise awareness and celebrate chickens as individuals who deserve compassion and respect.
🐔 Our theme: Respect for Chickens! One of our staff members will lead the group in a fun inflatable chicken costume, followed by volunteers carrying the ARC banner, egg-shaped signs, and two symbolic “egg garlands”—one with 350 eggs, the other with 25 eggs—to highlight the scale of exploitation in the egg industry. We’ll also be pulling a large egg on wheels as part of our visual display.
If our group includes more than 20 participants, we may need a designated safety walker—so please RSVP on POINT to help us stay organized and safe.
Let’s keep it positive! This is a joyful, family-friendly event. We ask all participants to share our message in a kind and respectful way.
👕 Dress Code:
Please wear a black ARC shirt or Vegan Compassion shirt from Ethique Nouveau if you have one. Otherwise, a plain black shirt works great—we want to look cohesive as a group.🕚 Meet-Up Time & Location:
Join us at 11:00 AM in Cedar Field Park (2500 Cedar Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55404) so we can organize and walk to the parade start together. The parade is scheduled to begin at noon, but may start moving earlier—so don’t be late! Full details will be sent to those who RSVP through POINT.👣 Accessibility Note:
We’ll be moving along the parade route for over 12 blocks. If you're signing up, please ensure you’re able to walk or roll that distance comfortably. Your safety and comfort matter!🌱 Post-Parade Potluck!
After the parade, head over to Chicken Butt Microsanctuary for a potluck at 5:00 PM. View Potluck Details Here: https://www.meetup.com/vegan-415/events/307343838/?eventOrigin=group_events_list👉 SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER ON POINT: https://dash.pointapp.org/events/333144
