About us
Welcome to the MN Animal Rights/Vegan Meetup (previously named ‘Minneapolis Vegan Meetup’) sponsored by the Animal Rights Coalition (ARC)!
ARC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to end the suffering, abuse, and exploitation of non-human animals through information, education, and advocacy. This group was created to bring together the Minneapolis plant-based community and the animal rights community. We engage in both advocacy and social events to educate others about animal rights and veganism. Join us to advocate for animals at a peaceful protest, community outreach, leafleting, or Cuddle Coats Prep Session. Stop by our monthly volunteer meeting & potluck, dine outs, pop-ups or movie screenings to meet other vegans and like-minded people. All are welcome to attend ARC events! You do not need to be vegan or vegetarian or have previous experience advocating for animals. We hope to see you at an event soon!
Visit ARC’s official website.

Join us for a Virtual Reality Headset Training!
📅 Wednesday, September 16th | 6:30–8:30 PMWhether you're brand new to ARC or a longtime volunteer, we invite you to an engaging hands-on training session covering how to set up and use our new pay-per-view virtual reality headsets, how to navigate the tough conversations before and after people watch, and how to gently guide people toward a more compassionate, plant-based lifestyle — wherever they're starting from. We're thrilled to show off this new gear and can't wait to see the impact it'll help us make!
You'll get an in-depth look at:
- How to operate the VR headsets
- The story behind the videos — where, when, and how they were filmed
- How we present ourselves at community events and engage with people who approach our table
- How to field tough questions with confidence and stay calm under pressure
This training is a great way to learn how ARC operates and find your place in our work for animal liberation. Attending isn't required before volunteering, but we highly recommend it — especially if you want to feel confident tabling at events with ARC.
✨ Food and drinks provided! Feel free to bring a vegan dish to share if you're able.
Everyone is welcome — you don't need to be vegan or vegetarian to attend. Just bring your curiosity, compassion, and willingness to learn!
