VSDC DC Bike Ride!

Please join us for the DC Bike Ride event!
DC Bike Ride is an annual event that closes streets for a recreational bike ride through Washington, D.C. It will take us through a scenic 20 miles of car-free roadways, crossing the Potomac River towards Virginia before returning to the District.

DC Bike Ride is a paid event that you will have to signup for independently. This Meetup Event has been created so that we could join the DC Bike Ride Event together as a team. For more information about the ride and to signup for it please visit the event's website: https://dcbikeride.com/.

2. Choose Intermediate for the Wave Time

Please note that this event is not organized by VSDC. It is a paid event that will be held rain or shine (with no refunds). Please consult DC Bike Ride FAQs.

Meeting point: Intermediate Corrals at 12th St. NW and Constitution Ave. NW
Difficulty level: moderate
Bike time: ~2 hours at moderate pace (~10 mph)
Biking surface: paved,
Route type: roads with no vehicular traffic

Food/Water: Bring your own vegan snacks and (non-alcoholic) beverage to enjoy. Please carry plenty of water!

RULES

• Pets are not allowed
• Use of intoxicants such as alcohol, cigarettes and/or illegal substances is banned during this event.
• Practice safe biking habits including:
• Wearing a bike helmet
• Keeping a safe distance between each other (bikes don't have brake lights and tailgating can easily result in crashes)
• Avoid side by side riding unless the road gives us ample opportunity
