What we’re about

Hello Veterans!
Are you ready for a new outdoors adventure?
The National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) is hosting a great new opportunity for veterans in the east Tennessee/WNC interested in the national parks! NPCA is the leading conservation organization for the National Park Service. For the year 2023, the Southeast Veterans Outreach Team will lead a series of outings in various locations in Appalachia and the Cumberland Plateau designed to get veterans together, educate on wild spaces, and of course have a good time! These outings include hikes, trail maintenance and stewardship projects, wildlife watching, stargazing, and most importantly, friendships and camaraderie.  We at NPCA look forward to meeting with you and showing you what we are passionate about!

The outings of NPCA are meant to instill community and education. Our goal was to create different kinds of activities to cater to different abilities. Can’t do a five-mile hike? Would rather wait for something more family friendly? THAT’S OKAY. Keep watching for our events to pop in. There is going to be something for you!
