About us
Losing a loved one is one of life's most profound losses. Sometimes, it can be surprisingly hard to find a quiet, informal space to talk about it openly, without agenda or formality.
This group is started by someone who has been there, searched for that space and couldn't find it. So, I decided to create it instead.
A little about me: I am an Indian expat who has called Singapore home for the last 15 years. Like most of us, my weekdays are work-oriented — I work in the Tech industry in a business role — and my weekends are for rest, recovery, and recreation. I truly appreciate the life I have been given, which is perhaps why losing my parents has felt so deeply significant. This group is my small attempt to make something meaningful out of that loss.
I am not a therapist or counsellor. I am simply a person who has lost someone dear to me, and someone that believes grief is easier to carry when it is shared. This is a safe space to share your personal story without fear of judgement — whether your loss was recent or years ago, whether you want to talk or simply listen, you are welcome here.
We meet informally, in a relaxed setting, with no script and no pressure. Just honest conversation, a little company, and the quiet comfort of being understood.
