Bald Eagle Photo Meetup

Details
Winter is coming and that means Bald Eagles are returning to Colorado. The state's lakes and reservoirs is the winter home for the these beautiful birds and make for some epic locations to view and photograph their incredible behavior.
One of these locations is Barr Lake State Park, in Brighton, CO. Every year 100+ Bald Eagles spend the winter on the (mostly) frozen reservoir. The park has a perfectly located gazebo just over a mile from the visitor center and parking lot. The gazebo is a great place to observe these magnificent birds and their behavior and also provides a great platform for a tripod and camera. I've spent many winters out on the lake, and this year I'd like to invite you to come along.
It's an early start no doubt, and definitely can be cold. The walk isn't too far but you definitely should provide yourself with a comfortable way to carry your gear, and save some space for food and water. There is also a $9 entry fee that is due at the gate. We will meet at the visitor center parking lot, and walk together as a group out to the gazebo. Birds are unpredictable subjects, so there is no limit on time for attendance. I will be out on the lake till about 11, perhaps later. Please feel free to stay as long as you are able.
