What we're about

Meet with Chicagoland people who write and perform songs! Our motto is, "Where songwriters gather and grow". All singers and songwriters in all genres are welcome! Network, collaborate, and learn the craft of songwriting. Our monthly meetings around the Chicago area ( also known as Song Sharing) typically include song circles where you can share your music and get positive feedback. We also provide performance opportunities at venues across the area.

Walton Island Saturday Morning Jam

KAFFESTUBE

It looks like we have finally found a home for the winter months (see location listing). So, join us in a warm indoor environment, until the weather changes in spring, and we can return to our garden setting. This a casual acoustic jam, in its fifth year of weekly gatherings, outdoors (weather permitting) in a beautiful park setting (with shade) surrounded by the Fox River and nature (waterfowl, too). We play both original and cover songs. All are welcome to join in or just listen. A couple of us organizers are serious singer/songwriters, and we would love to have more. We have musicians who can follow and accompany original songs. Attendance usually varies from about six to ten, with a variety of instruments. This a jam, so we prefer to play music most of the time, rather than talking about it, but we do some of that too. During the colder seasons, we move it indoors to a nearby location.
