A most stunning & beautiful 8 to 9 mile walk by Winchelsea, River Brede, River Rother and Rye Harbour Nature Reserve that passes iconic Camber Castle !

Please only rsvp if you can walk 2.5 miles per hour and you should have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity.

Please arrive by 9.20am to facilitate the purchase of group train tickets to Rye.

Train ticket : return to Rye HIGH SPEED TRAIN

We shall take the highspeed train at 10.04am that arrives at Rye at 11.57am after changing at Ashford International.

Walk will commence by 12.15pm.

Meetup fee £8 payable in cash or £6 by Friday in advance by bank transfer, details supplied upon request. No PayPal.

Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc as well as waterproof jacket and walking shoes/trainers or boots.

If sunny: sunhat, suncream and sunglasses.

We shall a drink at the end of the walk in most wonderful historic cobbled Mermaid Street.

We shall aim to take the train back from Rye at 5.48pm changing again at Ashford International.

The city has an ancient Roman Forum and there is much history, culture and a unique seaside experience.

The Old Town is on a peninsula and is filled with Roman, Venetian and contemporary architecture.

If you wish you could fly in earlier or stay a day or two extra.

A perennial favourite of the group is this stunning 8 to 9 mile Thames Path walk.

Please arrive by 10am to facilitate the purchase of group return train tickets for the 10.47am Elizabeth line train to Taplow that arrives at 11.24am.

We leave for the platform at 10.35am.

You should bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc waterproof jacket and walking shoes / trainers. Also sunhat, sunglasses and suncream.

At Windsor we shall have a drink at Browns before taking the really fun OPTIONAL 40 minute French Brothers boat trip around Windsor. Please do not buy this ticket in advance for various reasons.

We shall have an ice-cream too !

Getting back to London from Windsor is easy and would simply involve buying a small supplementary fare from Windsor & Eton Central train station to Slough.

It is your responsibility to take note of all agreed times and to bide by them.

You should have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity and be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour.

Come join us in beautiful Cyprus for some stunning coastal walks by some stunning beaches, delightful forestry and many historical sites !

We shall be staying and walking in the southern Greek side of Cyprus throughout the trip.

With temperatures still quite high in October there shall be plenty of time to enjoy sunbathing and swimming in the sea.

We shall spend Sunday and Tuesday evenings in Ayia Napa which will not be hectic in October but still very enjoyable.

You may wish of course to arrive a day or two early or stay on beyond Wednesday and further explore the area.
