River Darent & lavendar fields,castle,villa & Shoreham

The most wonderful guided 8 mile country walk in the Darent Valley as featured on BBC1 Breakfast TV and yet so close to London !

If you wish to buy group train tickets you should meet as from 10.15am and then take the direct train at 10.55am that arrives at Otford at 11.31am.

Train ticket : return to Otford.

Please use the toilets on the train as much as possible as we should like to start the walk as soon as possible - say around 11.45am.

Meetup fee £8 in cash on the day or £6 by Saturday in advance, details supplied upon request.

Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks and waterproof jacket and walking shoes/ boots/trainers. Also sunglasses, sun cream and sunhat.

We shall first walk around 3 miles along a lovely country lane from Otford to Shoreham.

Shoreham is the most beautiful village and you will have ample time to wander around and discover it for yourself.

After 75 mins in Shoreham we shall meet on the bridge then walk along the beautiful Darent Valley going past the wonderful lavender fields, which shall be looking their very best at this time of year, then passing Lullington Castle along the way and then we shall encounter the fantastic rolling hills before arriving in Eynsford.

Here in beautiful Eynsford we shall have a drink before taking the train back to London at 5.06pm with a change of train at Otford.

Please ensure that you can walk at least 2.5 miles per hour and have appropriate and adequate insurance.
