PARK LOCATION, DIRECTIONS AND PARKING
Carbon Canyon Regional Park
4442 Carbon Canyon Rd · Brea, CA
The park entrance is located at the stoplight intersection of East Santa Fe Road and Carbon Canyon Road, on the south side. After entering the park, turn right and park in Lot C or make an additional left turn and park in Lot B. The hike starts at the entrance to Lot B. If you do not have an annual parking pass, the cost to park inside the park is $5. If you park outside the park (see directions and parking below) you will have to walk about 0.3 mile to meet us.
To clarify, upon entering the park you will turn right after the guardshack. Then, park in Lot C or make a left turn to park in Lot B. The hike will start at the entrance to Lot B.
Directions: From the 57 freeway you can exit Lambert Boulevard and head east to reach the park. Lambert eventually turns into Carbon Canyon Road. The park entrance is at the intersection of Carbon Canyon Road and East Santa Fe Road. If you do not want to pay $5 for parking, turn north on to East Santa Fe Road and park on Merrifield Drive which is the first side street on the right. From there you can walk down the street, cross Carbon Canyon Road, then walk to the entrance of Lot B. If you are okay with paying $5 for parking, turn south into the park. After paying for parking turn right. The first parking lot is Lot C. The second parking lot is Lot B.

ABOUT CARBON CANYON REGIONAL PARK: This park lies upstream of the Carbon Canyon Dam. Sixty of its 124 acres are developed, offering grassy areas for picnicking, sports facilities, and a 4-acre lake with two piers for fishing. The undeveloped area features a trail that leads to its crown jewel, three acres of majestic Coastal Redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens). This is the only grove of redwoods in Orange County.

OC REGIONAL PARKS ANNUAL PASS
A one-year parking pass good at all of Orange County’s regional parks is $55. The senior rate, age 60+, is $35. You can purchase a pass online at https://www.ocparks.com/annualpass or in person at an Orange County regional park (M-F, 8AM-12PM, 1PM-4PM). If you purchase it online, it will take two weeks to arrive. To get it immediately, stop by a regional park daytime Mon - Fri.

Parking is available on Coast Hwy and surrounding streets. Valet parking is also available. FREE General Admission
