Brene's guest, fellow best-selling author Susan Cain, explores the intricacies of life's bittersweet moments.Each Sunday in June you will have opportunity to journey through the emotions and experiences that define what it means to be human. These event will combine a mix of viewing and small group conversation, providing a space for you to learn, grow and engage with other women. Dr. Brené Brown takes viewers on an interactive journey through the emotions and experiences that define what it means to be human. A dynamic mix of storytelling, film and TV references, guest researcher appearances, and informative role-plays-throughout the series we explore 30 of the 87 emotions and experiences that are discussed in the book, as well as identify an actionable framework for meaningful connection.If you crave community and a sense of belonging, or aren’t finding the level of connection and authenticity your desire amongst colleagues or current friendship groups, this event is for YOU! This is a nurturing and non-judgemental gathering of women who are attuned to their need for connection to self and others, and value authenticity and vulnerability. Women of all ages, cultural and social backgrounds are WELCOME.

Your attendance fee of $12 includes light snacks.Public Transport
Bus stops on Melbourne St and the Cultural Center bu stops are several minutes walk away.Parking
Street parking is available on Manning and Melbourne Streets. Alternatively, The Soda Factory South Brisbane located at 79 Boundary St, has parking available which is free or up to 3hours, and is a 5 minute walk from the venue.Attendance

Brené explores the relationship between compassion, empathy, and boundaries while mapping out a new framework for cultivating meaningful connection by exploring three skill sets that emerged from her research: developing grounded confidence, practising the courage to walk alongside, and story stewardship.As this wraps up the final episode in the series we will celebrate with a shared picnic meal. Please bring a plate of finger food to share. This event combines a mix of viewing and small group conversation providing a space for you to learn, grow and engage with other women. Soul healing is my passion, and nothing brings me more joy than guiding women in therapeutic practices, and witnessing the transformation that occurs when they feel seen, heard & held. As the founder of Women’s Wellbeing Collective, I host Women’s Circles and Retreats, mentoring women in the areas of creativity and emotional and spiritual growth. I am a trauma informed practitioner and have 20 years of experience working in both the education and community sectors.
